Interesting race in prospect, as the performance of the cars seemed to be all over the place today. I’ve genuinely no idea whether the fastest driver/car is first, tenth or somewhere in between. I don’t think they will do it, but I do wonder whether it would make sense for Max to take a power unit to add to the pool. There’s often a safety car at this event, so starting at the back with a fresh engine on softs or hards and running an offset strategy, might open up strategic options and keeps you out of the first corner mid pack melee which often occurs.

Missed quali yesterday but what a result! Merc obviously seemed to find a performance window that worked - be interesting to see how it translates into the race, and in a quick shower! Great to see McLaren and Alpine also getting racier at this circuit- looking forward to seeing what Norris and Alonso could do when the intermediate conditions kick in!
