Tim Krul - 9 - Never seen a keeper so good against these Stoke thugs, caught or punched 99% of what they threw at him

Danny Simpson - 8 - Best performance since Arsenal away last year. Etherington in his pocket

Steven Taylor - 8 - Solid as ever, even with the mask. Him and Colo are perfect

Fabricio Coloccini - 8 - People might call me deluded, but he is world class. The best centre back we have had while I've been alive

Ryan Taylor - 8 - Helped by Jonas brilliantly, but when they got past Jonas he was awesome

Gabriel Obertan - 8 - Best game for us so far. Absolutely brilliant and I hope he keeps it up. Great cross for Demba's first

Danny Guthrie - 7 - Solid in the centre of the pitch. Wouldn't have know Tiote was out injured

Yohan Cabaye - 7 - He is a great little player. Got stuck in and some of his through balls were unreal

Jonas Gutierrez - 9 - Not much going forward, but he was clearly told to stay back with Taylor. He is so commited to the cause and I love him

Demba Ba - 9 - Great hat trick and first half performance was brillant. Second was bit more quiet when Stoke kept attacking, but man of the match

Leon Best - 7 - Works hard for the team. He is the most improved player of all time. He has gone from a **** Championship striker to a genuine quality Premier League striker

James Perch - 5 - **** myself when he came on, booked straight away, but good tackle at the end I suppose

Sammy Ameobi - 5 - Not on long enough to do anything

Dan Gosling - 10 - Never gave the ball away, did everything he had to do right. Not that he even got a touch like

Krul 7 Ok overall, but a few mistakes, but I don't blame him, he's playing against STOKE

Simpson 8 was excellent, had Ethrington on his back pocket, one of his best games for us.

Best 7 Held up the ball well, and has a good understanding with Ba, but still no goals.

They saw Perch getting ready, so they got motivated, and told them selves, we're back in this.

But ah well.

Harsh on Best for me. Was brilliant in holding the ball up and worked his backside off. Yes he didn't score but he contributed a hell of a lot.

Haha, anyway whole team deserves praise. Not one bad performance from the starting 11 - all of them were fantastic.

What a team we have

No Tiote, no Hatem, no Santon, no Marveaux and we still won easily

 

How can you give Krul a 9, his kicking was woeful and he dropped one in the first half, nearly into his own net and nearly let one float over him in the second. Godd game but not a 9

With the pressure that he was put under - he did brilliant.

 

Not disputing this but his kicking and some of his catching was woeful by no means a 9

I know some of his kicks were gash like, but not gunna take notice of that tbh

 

Cabaye 5 for me. Worst perfomance yet.

For the hat trick alone I'd give Ba a 10.

But the whole point in a rating is to judge how a player played overall not just pick what he did well and rate him high because of that.

Krul's ball winning, domination of the 18 yard box and saves were good but he did other things that pulls his overall game down to 7.

 

Its all about opinions lol and I'm sticking to mine

Don't think any keeper has played better than that at the Brittania recently
