Riiiight. How is that accurate? Don't they grow to the genetically set height they can no? Restricted is a funny word for it.
Dwatfism is a specific condition but there are quite a few other conditions that cause restricted growth hence the need for a general descriptor - oh and PORG has been around for quite a long time .
i'm not a doctor you know the bundling is because dwarf is an incorrect term for lots / most PORG . Bundling is common after all "wheelchair user" covers a very wide range of specific impairments .
When Warwick Davies was interviewed and asked about what words were used to describe his height and how he felt about each, he said he had no problem with dwarf or little person. I had a quick research and the Dwarf Sports Association UK say that "some people prefer the term 'short stature' or 'little people' rather than dwarf." The term porg doesn't appear anywhere. At the bottom of the page I was reading it said if you want to find out more about the different types of dwarfism go to the Little People UK website.
really wouldn't recommend calling someone a "little person" in real life . Some might be ok but others may well be offended .
I'm not planning on calling anybody anything. I just have never heard the term porg, ever, and thought the correct term when discussing was little people. I know a little person, she gets called by her name and as far as I know the 'classification' for her stature has never come up.
Apparently "midget" is a definite no no. Although I was once tempted to buy an MG Midget, but bought a Scimitar GTE instead.
