    I think the rental shops here were called Rumblelows(could be wrong) I used to rent a tv in the 80s. Then a few fell off the back of a lorry...<whistle>

    Nice one Emu, good tour IMO. If the guide asks where Revie was born it's Middlesboro, I got it mixed up with one of the teams he played for, Sunderland. Schoolboy error, but I was excited.<party>

    I can remember Radio Rentals, Redifusion, and Martin Dawes (who are still in operation, allowing you to pay weekly for you electrical goods). All I can remember about Rumbelows was that it was a cheap store for buying electrical goods, similar to Comet, and the guy who created Rumbelows, was Fred Dawes, who was the father of Martin
