It is. I think some of the behaviour in the Spain game demonstrated that its saintliness is exaggerated a little bit, but there’s no doubt that there’s far less cynicism in this game than the men’s. It really is refreshing
Kudos to the ladies showing how its done, and I have to say that Leah Williamson .. wow .. what a captains performance that was, so calm and assured, get her signed up ffs ! Wiegman is one hell of a manager that's for certain.
a very good watch. i did wonder if some of the ladies get a bit excited with all those balls on their chests. in all seriousness ladies chesting the ball must hurt and maybe be a risk much in the same way that heading the ball can be? womens boobs are a ticking time bomb cancer wise at the best of times. if youve ever been in the castle hill breast cancer waiting room you will know what i mean. should be a great occasion the final. first time ive got into women.
Loved the none stop chasing. No let up. Challenge for everything. Great performance especially second half.
The standards of women's football has improved one hell of a lot very easy to watch. Fantastic attitude by the England team right through this tournament. Now let's finish the job. Massive well done ladies.
This team are an absolute joy to watch, you'd have to be a right miserable bastard to watch these games and not find it both entertaining as a footballing spectacle and pleasing to see how elated and proud the players are of their success. No need to bring the men's team or Southgate into it. They've done us proud too, and this is separate.
Was more a compliment to how well Veurink gets the most out of her best attacking players and pushes their foot down on the oppositions neck when they go 1-0 up. But you’re right not to compare.
This may sound sexist but honestly it’s not, those ladies has fantastic ball control… at their feet and no where else lol. Some of the pinged balls coming into them I half expected there to be poor control with the ball bouncing off them, How wrong I was. My favourite was the little number 14, Fran Kirby, never got flustered even when she was surrounded by Swedish players, just let her feet do the talking, loved her goal, though the keeper was poor…. Really looking forward to Sunday… come in ladies you can do it !!!!!! Oh and the back heel one, if that was scored by Renaldo or messi it would be plastered over every news outlet, my son in law couldn’t stop talking about it….
It has massively . I remember going to watch England v Finland at BP in the late 70s. It was 9 nil to England but it was pretty poor viewing . Totally changed now .
