Yes it's all logical and sensible and I totally get it but yet I still pine for the days of Nigel Adkin's bus when all the players were invested into the plan (although they eventually left when we reached the PL top 8).
Agree with this. Someone recently posted that it was good that we hadn’t (yet) lost any of our better players to other teams. The other side of that statement is that maybe the better players aren’t considered good enough for other teams to covet them, which reflects on the general status of the squad.
The clubs those players and others came from would say they 'lost' them to us. We happen to be higher up the pyramid which I suppose is topped by Barca, Real and arguably PSG.
I don’t mind that they leave. I do care how they leave. Still haven’t forgiven Van Snake. All the others including Lallana, went with my blessing, just about.
Yeah, I suppose it did for me too. We seemingly had the best of him as a manager though. Poch grated more, but in a way that felt like Karma for us binning off Nigel so brutally. None of this **** is rational, or even reasonable
Confirmed that Bordeaux will be playing in Ligue 2 next season. The Mara deal has proven to be a really good one for all parties.
