Good run out that. Thought our 2nd half performance was pretty solid for the most part, deserved the chance of a penalty shootout at the very least until big joe had a moment of madness. Some very good positives to take away from that for me. Miggy is reborn, Shelvey looks “fit” apparently, bondswell, botman and the usual gritty and classy display from Bruno. Confirmation if it was ever needed that Wood has a long way to go if it’s even at all possible, Lascelles is a ****ing cart horse and Longstaff should be benched at best. Pick the bones out of that Eddie if you will. CM and CF needed pretty desperately I’d say!
Overall that was very encouraging. Never played our best 11 and dominated in large spells. The ref was a **** also Joe lost it because of his antics from start to finish. Losing becomes a habit though... Need some wins
Learned nothing. Squad way short of quality. Wood is a ****ing abomination. Why Ritchie, Murphy, Mongstaff are there is a mystery. Burn is actually a bang average player. Lascelles is still rubbish. Our best XI is decent, but one injury and we’re in bother. Bondswell surprisingly good. Anderson very good. Botman looks like he’ll be superb. Does he need better than Schar? I think he does. Wilson, Bruno, Joe off colour. Summary - we still need ****ing players. We need a new starting striker as a bare minimum and possibly better wide right, central midfield and centre back. Need to get rid of Wood, Murphy, Ritchie and Mongstaff.
Both were bad, but Wilson buries the header 9/10 times. Wood hits the keeper 10/10 times. He needs to be sold while he has value.

I agree with all of this. And I think a CM and CF. Now Shelvey looks injured I would suggest both or important: It might go unnoticed but the young left back looked fantastic second half.
I've seen some complete ****e in my time striker wise, and Wood has to be up there with ****ing Xisco.
Newcastle are going into the season without playing the best side once it appears.. They won't have any additional players before the 1st run of games either.
Don't know what went on but Joe was out of order. Maybe something racial said because it was a strange retaliation from nufc when their man made a nasty tackle
