Not your fault, it's the site. If you want to "block" someone you have to put them on "ignore". Think it's for the weak of mind who can't resist reading something they don't want to.
I have the spammer on ignore, as it saves scrolling past stuff that's not worth reading. It's easy enough to turn it off if someone has responded to something. The others, I just ignore 99% of the time. I added this to my previous reply. On a sort of related note, I think there are measures in place for new registrations that are designed to stop multi-posters. There's clear evidence on this thread that that either doesn't work, or is selective. I do wonder how many genuine new posters give up if they meet restrictions getting on here.
Never been a mod (never wanted to, tbh), but the late, great Tobes told me you cannot put a mod on ignore, and a mod can't ignore any posters. Pretty sure the function says ignore and not block as well, but hey ho. Bottom line is, that there's no clicking involved in simply not reading posts you don't want to.
You really shouldn't have needed Tobes to tell you that, it's just common sense Cancel that, you probably did need Tobes to tell you that.
You really shouldn't be able to, how the **** can you mod if you don't see what people are saying. Probably why you have a Blue mod badge instead of a Green one, token Mod Oh, sorry "staff member", you really are just a member
He can't post here anymore There has never been a spammer on any board as thick and invasive as the one on here, he's like knotweed only more pointless.
Why would you have anyone on ignore? You never answer anyone with a comment of your own and surely you can't be reduced to tears because they counter or laugh at a meme you think is clever.
No, if that was the case the thread would be a lot shorter than it is now. Spam is encouraged on here
