Lost 2-1 n but played quite well up to the penalty box then it mostly fizzled ahrt. I was quite impressed by the new goalie, who commanded his area quite well and didn't put a foot wrong. Our main threat is still CB-T, although Kanu looked a real threat in his cameo. Leaburn played pretty well, but I don't see him as a winger in the long term. The set-up was similar to Adkins' 4-5-1/4-3-3, and Stockley doesn't look the same player without Washington. Whether or not Garner sticks to this formation remains to be seen, maybe our unbalanced squad forced it on him. Clare was excellent at RB, Innis was OK apart from one howler which nearly cost a goal, ditto O'Donnell, Sessegnon is right-footed so not sure about him at LB. Fraser didn't do enough for me, Albie was more effective, but I like the look of Jack Payne.

Sounds like a worthwhile look at the team.
    No disgrace losing to Swansea...

Won’t ever forgive them nicking Gallagher off us, even though Chelsea were the ones at fault

Oh dear. Get over it. Swansea couldn't " nick " any player.
Gallagher was on loan to Charlton, and his parent Club thought, quite correctly, that he would benefit more from going to Swansea.
Be thankful that you had such a great player at your Club, for however long it was.
What " fault " are you talking about " ? He was THEIR player, to do with as they wished.
    Jeez ! Football supporters !

    We don't need reasons for disliking Chelsea, but we have plenty to choose from anyway;

    Scott Parker
    Fighting them on the beaches
Jose denying we beat them at the Bridge
    Single use plastic (fans)

    Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
    Roman Abramovich...

Imagine the reaction you'd have got if we'd beaten Swansea yesterday <laugh>

It's a good thing fans are such a big happy family <hug>
And we know how thankful some are that their Clubs can compete in such a great league as the EFL <ok>

If you say so, but it had none of the qualities I associate with a joke, it was more like a whinge of entitlement.

Now Charlton's goal, that was a real joke, and your team were the joyful recipients. But these things happen.

Anyway, no hard feelings. Charlton Athletic are a proper football Club with great history, and I wish you well for the up coming season.
    And that's no joke. <cheers>

    Blimey

I hope I’m wrong, but I think we will start this season like last season.

Another mention for the 3 subs who came on, Richard Chin, Daniel Kanu and AAron Henry. They, and Miles Leaburn, did not look out of place against the men from a good Championship team, so let's hope they kick on this season. Kanu in particular looks a very hungry player.

She should have known better, or perhaps you produced a forged Welsh passport and conned her. <laugh>
