Definitely but the last season was a little disappointing. It was still good but compared to what came before it felt a little rushed. Season 4 was the best season as that was the last that completely used the books as reference.
Loved it all until the last season watched first 3 episodes and then had to force myself to watch the rest.
Mrs c has watched the lot 3 or 4 times, absolutely loves it, I’ve watched it once and enjoyed it but I struggled with the names and remembering who’s family people were in, she had to keep me right
..... Yes..... yes it is. At first it's sort of "wtf is this", stick with it though. There's an episode called "Battle of the Bastards", some of the action scenes wouldn't look out of place in a 100 million pound Hollywood film.
Watched the first 2 episodes and thought it was canny and wanted to keep up with it. Then forgot to watch the rest and it exploded into a gobal phenomenon Will get round to watching it at some point.
It’s a yes definitely from me. On my second time and it’s still good because there ‘s so much happens , you forget what you’ve already seen . My take on the final series , whilst it didn’t have the impact of what had gone before , I thought they got the outcome right - I won’t give my reasons because it could spoil the end for those who still have it to see
Up until the final 2 series it was clever, political, full of intrigue, shock and action. From the mind of a clever person. Then the final 2 series was basically dungeons and dragons, written by a spotty teenager from his bedroom. Final series was particularly rushed. Almost felt insulted that I'd invested so much of my time in the previous series' only to be rewarded with poorly written mess of and end. Basically puts me off from watching them all again.
Yes. However, it's hard going at the beginning because you're dropped into a big story that's already well underway. Has a show ever disappeared so completely so quickly from popular culture? If you want a show completely satisfying from beginning to end in a similar vein, try Black Sails.
The first few series, if a character was making a journey it would take half a series, through trials and tribulations, to get there. The last series characters were just popping up in one place or another within half an episode.
Last Kingdom is unbeatable. But I never watched Game of thrones so ignore my comment lol. I prefer factual to fiction and even tho Last Kingdom isn't totally factual it is partly.
up until season 4, after that it sort of fizzed when they directors had to start writing things without a roadmap in my opinion
Hmm, if you haven't watched it already, its probably not your thing... See if you can find old Miranda episodes instead?
Last kingdom is very good. Streaming and TV channels have budgets to rival Hollywood these days. I think the popularity of TV series has had a knock on effect with films, I don't think there is the same quality in films these days as a lot of the money is going into streaming services series and TV shows.
