He hits this early, whereas Reggie and Sess always take that extra step , he might be older but the early ball can make up for his pace , if Kane ,Son and Richarlison latch on to this in training we shall reap the benefits hopefully

No, not a British thing, it's just a thing. You could even call it geography. It's a name for a geographical region, not a method of oppressing the Irish. The island of Ireland is part of the British Isles. It just is. It's like saying that I don't like Europeans so I've decided Britain isn't in Europe any more. By which I mean geographically in Europe of course!

Correct, it's a bit like when people use the terms "the Americas" or "latin America". Not all would consider themselves Americans <laugh>

Come to my local and make that statement. I'll pre-book the ambulance <laugh>

Unfortunately, there are historical geographic references that have been dragged into the political arena. This being one. As a 'blow-in' here, I was unaware of the significance and the direct societal correlation. I am now. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Afro-Iberia-American is IMHO a more accurate
description of those denizens of a nation X in
central/south America, whose DNA "bloodline" is not
very close to thatdiscernible in the indigenous population of X.

    Sorry just seen this.

I couldn't get a ticket in the Spurs end and even near them was sold out so had to sit amongst the Rangers fans but as it was a friendly it was fine.

First time visiting ibrox and it’s has a real old school feel to it. Celtic park as a stadium is better imo but neither are anywhere close to the new Spurs stadium

That takes me back. I used to be a Third Lanark fan.(My second team!) They used to send me programmes which I've still got. Never got to visit before they went out of existance!

Ibrox was great. If you’ve not been, put it on your hit list. I’d been before but had forgotten just how magnificent the main stand is. Cracking atmosphere for a pre season game, Defoe was given a truly magnificent reception. Grotty weather and a huge police presence outside the away end after the game. Impressed with the win but not so impressed with parts of Glasgow.

Looks like the locals had some trouble with the police:
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-62283083

Not sure if it had anything to do with both of the Old Firm playing at home.
The article writer doesn't mention it, if that's the case.
