British doesn't refer to all of the people of the British Isles, though. You're certainly not with the Celtic supporters on that one!
Sessegnon is just awful and I don’t like saying that because he’s someone I have a lot of time for as a person. Looks so out of his depth at this football club. I hope he can learn a lot from Perisic this season, he needs too as well because I don’t think the club can afford another ‘meh’ season from him waiting for his potential to eventually come through when it looks as far away as it did on the day he arrived. I think Emerson will be sold by the time the window shuts. Very hard to see a future for him whilst we play this system and formation.
Moura and Bissouma replace Emerson and Bentancur. Two right-wingbacks on the bench and we're giving our Brazilian winger another go? Not for me, ta.
It gets used wrongly all the time, British does mean all the people of the British Isles but as with the Union flag it has often been used in place of English. It's just another reason why there are rumblings about the union in Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.
It’s only a friendly give him a chance this season! He is really highly rated at the club so that has to count for something. If after this season there is no progression then we should move him on I agree
Lucas on at RWB again - not a great sign for Doherty. Bissouma makes his non-competitive debut, coming on for Bentancur, who I thought was one of our better performers.
It’s more a case of it being “same again” as his pervious performances. Just a relatively “meh” style of play. You look at certain players in our team and you see their use and value, Sess along with our other WBs of last season just don’t have that same feeling. All well below par for where we need them to be.
It certainly does not mean all of the people of the British Isles. Ask an Irishman. People from outside the British Isles can also be British. Falkland Islanders, for example.
I'd agree in a normal game, but the ref's been avoiding a booking at all costs. 2-1. Kane. Must've read my first half criticism.
