Hull City Academy are delighted to announce that the Under-21s will be playing their home games at North Ferriby during the 2022/23 season.

The Under-21s, managed by Richard Naylor and Conor Sellars, will play at the Dransfield Stadium for the first time since 2018.

Academy manager Richard Naylor said: "We're delighted to be returning to North Ferriby after a few successful years playing at the LNER Community Stadium in York.

"Every time we have faced North Ferriby, we have been impressed with the improvements made in recent years and we are delighted to be using for them for the 2022/23 season.”

The academy have also agreed a new two-year lease for their base to remain at Bishop Burton College.

The Tigers have been situated at Bishop Burton College for a number of seasons, gaining Category 2 status during that time.

The Under-18s, under the management duo of John Anderson and Billy Clarke, will play their home Professional Development League fixtures at the college for the foreseeable future.

“To sign a new two-year lease with Bishop Burton College is great for us moving forward," said Naylor.

"We have a great working relationship with the college with it providing fantastic facilities to help our players develop as we continue to send more players to train at Cottingham with the first team."

Great news the U21 to be playing at Ferriby, should never have left in the first place, but we all know why they did!

They could have done something about it but did want to spend the money. If I remember correctly, our ground staff helped looked after the pitch which was part of the payment for using it, but the terrible 2 wouldn't fund any work needed.

Any groundsman that can't produce a pitch like that in July needs sacking.

MKM pitch looked good the other night. Hope our players don’t cut it up and spoil it for the FC lot.

I thought the opposite. There we’re lines running north south which we’re a different colour to the rest of the pitch.
It was nothing to do with the mowing as that was east to west.

The one with 'North Ferriby' on the front. Usually one every two days, subject to change. Be quicker via train, it they actually stopped at the station.
