Let’s just hope we don’t lose 4-0 this weekend then we’ll go from there

I quite liked it as a full kit. But then I remember the old red/white Robinson era away. Can't say I was that impressed when the shirt came out, but with shorts and socks it grew on me last night.

Think we'll judge better on Sat vs Peterboro where we are compared to last season.

It didnt help last night that their upper echelon players came on fresh at half time when we had already played a half.

That said, I do wonder why Shota seems to be stacking the defence when the club have invested a lot into the creative and attacking positions.

They’re still suspect individually a lot of the back line. As a unit they’re great, but I imagine that’s why we aren’t going to a 4 just yet.

You'd think Figs and Greaves should be fine as a centre back pairing though. Coyle maybe more comfortable at fullback than wingback, though whether we play fullbacks or wingbacks we still need more than just Coyle for that side.

No one knows. Hasn't featured in pre season though so I can't imagine he can be relied upon.

Any idea of the extent on Emmanuel? Suspect he may pick up a few niggles having been out so long.

Let's face it, Leicester are a quality side and they turned up last night. I don't do pre-season games very often, but to see almost 13k at a friendly was a pleasant surprise. Think the last pre-season game I went to was in Slutsky's time at Craven Park with about 2,000 there.
You can't judge how we are likely to do this season based on pre-season matches. As for the coming season, I would be happy with a top half finish. So long as we are not in a relegation battle I will be happy. I like the championship to be honest - you get some big teams and good games. Of course if promotion were to come our way in the next few years I would be delighted - provided we could compete once we went up. I don't for one minute believe that Watford or Norwich fans enjoyed last season. No league is any fun when you are getting thumped week in week out.

I hoped to be proved wrong but so far I've not seen anything from Shota that makes me believe he can get City a top 6 finish. I still don't think he knows his best formation & how to get the team passing the ball quickly up to the strikers ,which is worrying as he's an ex international striker himself so must know that strikers thrive on decent service from the midfield/wingers ?????

Kinnel, can't believe a lot of what I'm reading on here ATM. We're gonna be just fine. Give it time. We'll be challenging at the right end of the table.

To be fair to Emmanuel, t's not unusual to get a few niggles when coming back from a long spell out.

Surely Figs experience should remedy that? Can't tout Greaves and Jones as prospects if they can't play in a 4.

He doesn't even know what players he has. Lets judge him in a few months. This was only a friendly
