If this turns out to be true, that’s a double celebration; one for landing the player, and another for acting with honour and integrity.
Well **** my old boots; a striker with “finishing” listed as one of his strengths. When was the last time we signed one of those?
You’re fans aren’t scummy, everyone has a soft spot for the Geordies. Your owners though, bloody hell; Ashley and now these Saudis. Whose next, Satan?
He'd be about on a par yeah. Yeah I'd much prefer it if it had ben a local businessman, I think there'd still have been tons of people out celebrating as it was mostly the demise of Ashley but it didn't look good!
How many early scoops does he have? He is early with the rubber stamp but how early is he with the actual stories? So he might be first to declare it completely signed and agreed (“full agreement and “here we go”) but not to alert the world of the possibility
Yeah headline numbers count all appearances as games even if they are brief sub appearances I noticed this when there were links to Amadu from Salzburg.
Yup. Also there’s literally no possibility for a 20-something year old journalist from Italy to suddenly pop up from nowhere and have enough connections across club exec teams and player agents (spanning the world, based on his feed) for him to be across this many stories and be sourcing them himself. Look at who he follows. Loads and loads of other journalists. He sees other people break news, punts on it and amplifies to his bigger audience. Whether he firms it up or just punts on another reliable journalists being right, we’ll never know. He’s done really well to carve out a presence but it’s more as an aggregator than someone who goes out there and gets stories. I know that agents now take stories to him as a result of the size of his audience.
Oh bloody hell. Just tuning my start of season mega-depression following a tame 0-0 with a lowly Austrain side and then we sign this feller who sounds like he might score goals. Piss off. Truly, welcome Sekou. And delighted to hear we have done Bordeaux a favour. I've been to a few games there. Tough place to like football as every bugger seems to be a rugby fan, but their die-hard fans are passionate if few in number - where does that remind you of?
Exciting news. Hopefully we will still bring in someone with EPL experience, to work alongside him, and to help reduce any pressure on him, especially if he is seen as the main man by fans.
