So after clinging on by the skin of our teeth against the Weeds, a trip to Pride Park to face play off holders Derby. Several nice victories (6-1) have come against the rams recently and I would normally expect this to be a walkover in recent seasons but Derby have really stepped up a gear this year. Sitting nicely in playoffs another tight game is to be expected but no win away since the opening day, will city take full points? The blotchy form continues but at least the defence seemed to all right against Leeds but on another day we could easily have conceded as many as we did against Posh ... And finally some correct scores! Superswan999 and isawronneymoorescore both pick up full points but it is Irishbluebird who takes full advantage to move to the top of the table, clear of bluebird_nat and GLAMorgan (who's handy point moves him into second on Correct Scores) by only a point. Its very tight lower down the table also. Against Derby I'm going to go for a 2-1 win again cos we need to stop drawing!!!! Good Luck
I'll go for another away draw 2-2 as I did for Leeds,.............we've got to start turning these draws into wins, they are costing us dearly, unfortunately I can't see it happening at Pride Park though.
I have a feeling you might win this one 1-0. i agree what you said about being confident of beating derby in the last few seasons as they were dire, even though they have improved i still think you can go there with confidence and stop them playing.
Had we gone for another goal today rather than defending deeply we would have got the 2-0. We need to go out to win. 2-1 to City, coming from behind. By the way, what's the state of the prediction table?
1 - 0 to the City for me please, Hudson to score the goal. Lump on, or in my case, definately dont lump on !
2 - 1 to City for me. Derby have been on a roll. This has to come to an end soon and I really think our 5 man midfield will frustrate them giving us opportunities up front.
No correct results never mind correct scores from me since I was predictor of the month in Sept, knew the curse would get me I will go for Derby County 1 v 2 Cardiff City
but it is Irishbluebird who takes full advantage to move to the top of the table, clear of bluebird_nat and GLAMorgan (who's handy point moves him into second on Correct Scores) by only a point. Its very tight lower down the table also. Oh I feel quite dizzy sitting at the top of the prediction league looking down on all you Bluebirds!!........but don't worry. The luck of the Irish can't last forever!
