I thought Zico was a midfielder, but I get what u mean! So what are our are left back options, and why do we keep loaning Nico out if he is not upto playing in the championship?
We've been trying to get someone to buy him for ages but no one is daft enough. We don't have any other options except u23's who simply aren't up to it at the moment. We had Wallace and McCullum there last season who both kept getting injured so we had to play Moses there and Uncle at right back. Then Warburton even played Willock there fir a couple of games ! I've been saying for ages how threadbare we are at wingback positions, it's farcical. Paal looks decent but after him it's not good. We need another left back, another right back and a striker desperately. The striker will almost certainly be a loan from a Prem club after they've sorted out their squads which won't be for a while unfortunately. The deal with Mcnamara from Millwall has all the hallmarks of Patterson last season. They have a valuation which we haven't cone close to with 2 bids. If we're serious about it then stump up the fee ffs, if not move on and get someone else in . We have 9 days till the season starts and haven't addressed these key areas, he won't say it but Beale can't be happy about it.
Beale knows what’s going on with transfers & it does take time to get the right players in he wants, he will be fine
I've not been reading too much into these pre season friendlies. I made that mistake last season and whopped 20 poke on us getting promoted! I honestly would expect us to put a fair few past Wealdstone and would have been dissapointed not to. The real test starts on the 30th
Can't make too much out of a game against Wealdstone, bur the disparity between the first and second half performances was a bit of a worry. With our first eleven out, we were totally dominant, as you would expect. Our second eleven looked not much better than Wealdstone.
Gotta say he got me off my seat every time he had the ball, electric pace, brute force, either foot, link up and vision. We will almost certainly send him out on loan but part of me really wants him to be on the bench when we face Blackburn. He's gonna terrorise defenders for years !

Armstrong is quick and strong, but his touch wasn't the best last night. Certainly an exciting prospect, though.
I think that second eleven need a few extra friendlies. They’re a mile away from the lonely first team by the looks of it.
I hope he stays with the first team squad, he was much more of a goal threat than Bonne in the second half.
It had to be Eze didn't it ? One of the things we were most guilty of last season was standing off or being too slow to opponents on the edge ofourbox and letting them get off shots on targets. I was hoping with a new manager and staff he'd of drummed this out of then but nothing seems to have changed. We simply have to improve this all season or we'll continue to pay the price. Kakay has been our best player lol. Get Sinclair on and let him batter them 2nd half
2-0 ! Zaha. Excellent goal but yet again just letting him run at us at will. Any hint of quality and the midfield just disintegrates and the defence is too slow to get out to the trouble. Why isn't Armstrong and Shodipo on for 2nd half ? Pretty uninspiring performance from us so far, creativity at a minimum.
