tories have told the other arch brexiteer (ladder puller upper) to get stuffed Rishi Sunak 118 up 115 up from 101 up from 88 (has stalled out really) Penny Mordaunt 92 up 82 down from 83 up from 67 (surprising gain) Liz Truss 86 up 78 up from 64 up from 50 decent gain Kemi Badenoch 59 up from 58 up from 49 votes, up from 40 gain 1 and was POINTLESS So now theres a good chunk of what has to be really nasty sort tories to be redistributed. 59 people to be wooed with only 6 between truss and mordaunt this is to the wire but its surely now Truss' to lose? The foreign secretary who holds a phone upside down for photos will be running against the tax dodging chancellor of the exchequer It really is "oh... him" sunak v the "brexiteer gammon choice of easily manipulated candidate" Truss. And as i've said many times the white power thing will come in here when it gets to postal voting. truss to be next PM.
The brexiteers seem absolutely out of theirnminds with worry mordaunt gets it so are thinking truss will be an easy touch to manipulate to their own ends. The common or garden gammon won't rate Truss but they'll pick her over sunak all day.
She might not be as hardcore as many of the others but isn't Mordaunt also a pro Brexit politician? Are there no strategic voters in the Conservative party either? Surely Conservatives stand a better chance at the next general election headed by Mordaunt than Truss? Truss will more likely scare away some voters from.voting for their local Tory MP. Maybe three years is too far in distance for them to worry about or they think the public will have forgotten about Boris by then. So in an overly simplified manner is this essentially rich hypocrite tax dodger vs female version of Boris Johnson? (Not followed as closely as you can in UK of course). Is tax dodger the lesser of two evils here?
As has been hinted at before if the choice is Sunak or Truss/Mordant then a lot of Conservative party members may take skin colour into account and hope for another strong Thatcher type.
Well they may do thst but the person in question put her foot in it in Russia prewar and was laughed at. As bungled her role in foreign office to the point of putting laws up for vote thst are breaking international treaties and held a phone upside down ina photo op like the clown she is. Truss is the moron who will do anything told to get ahead. She is seen as easily.manipulated and mogg will be sat at her right hand if she wins. Sunak should win but won't. Rccism at play. However the vista is that less than half the tory party mps support either candidate so whoever it is starts out as not being supported. Car crash.
Well we knew that as soon as they got rid of Boris, he was hopeless but the best the Tories had. If Sunak gets in watch for the return of a certain D Cummins
Obviously there are plenty of conservatives who aren't racist (even if there are plenty who are). He wouldn't be in the last two (and wouldn't be elected) if every Tory was a racist.
There is a big difference between the Tory MP's who have voted to get to the last two and the members of the Conservative Party.
So I’m pretty sure I’ve now for definite caught the dreaded covid. Think managed to avoid it for 2 years but got horrible cough, had a temperate last 2 days (although that’s eased now). Haven’t tested myself, but my dad has it and 2 other people we were around on Monday have it so it’s likely it was all spread from there
The couple next door have had it and the coughing has been dreadful I'm a bit surprised i didn't catch it as i spent about 15 - 20 mins , albeit outside , chatting to Dave the day before he tested positive.
