    The Saudi’s don’t do 5-10 years mate
Despite what AS says they will want to be up there asp, look at the golf **** storm
I’m not saying for one second that it won’t take time or happen this season, but having spent 90 + 60 so far makes the 250 over 5 years look inaccurate
AS and EH doing their best to play down the numbers cos of the vultures out there

5 matches before 1st September. I think we should have done more by now.

Unfortunately they can't just bulldoze it like the golf.

Players will be sold in 5 years some for good amounts.

Don't get me wrong I hope you're correct.

They would probably want £40m if we throw in Murphy.

They came in 9 months ago. We have a new first choice keeper, entire back line and midfielder. We also have a back up CF. They're also clearly trying to get a RW and CF. I think that's not bad going in the time they've had.

If only life was that simple.

In a perfect world we could put a package of Murphy, Hendrick, Clark, Hayden and some ****e in exchange for Harrison, but sadly no team is that dumb.

Hendrick, Clark and Hayden will never play for us again. Although not a great player Murphy can fill a slot in the squad this season.

Shelvey may have limitations, but I don't buy into the idea he's a ****

Everytime I've heard him speak he comes across sound.

    Yeah I know.

He's not a "**** off you useless ****" like Hendrick, Clark and Hayden, but still as the squad evolves, Murphy drifts further into the periphery.

He provides another option if ASM is having an off day, but that's about it. If he doesnt go this summer, then I definitely see him leaving next summer.

It's hard to imagine he's been here 5 years now and I think I've done more in a black and white shirt than him.

He definitely comes across as a leader, and a supportive voice for the younger players. His racial options are somewhat dubious though.

Didn't say it was bad. They've done well. I just said we should have done more by now particularly with regards CF and RW. Anybody with eyes could see Almiron/Murphy are very weak, and the performance of Wood has been well below any expectations. We have a lot of room to move on FFP and should be spending £80m across those two positions, if we want to head up the table. We can see from Bruno, from Botman, that's what it costs. I don't understand why the board think they're going to snaffle a bargain? It's a bit puzzling that we're ok paying £35m in CM and CB, but are balking at those numbers for more critical positions? If Harrison is £35m, what's the issue?

There are 5 matches before deadline day, 3 of them very winnable. Maybe we'll win them anyway and all is well!

To be honest I am not that fussed about Jack Harrison. I thought he was extremely patchy last year and really didn't start performing until the end of the season when they had their little upturn in form.

Think St Maximin has a lot more to him. Sure his end product can be frustrating but he has the ability to beat a man and electric pace. Two things you don’t get with Harrison. I think he is going to have a very good season this year.

I reckon we might see a lot better from our midfield players now we have Botman. Always felt we were let down by the speed and incisiveness of our balls from the back when Lascelles was a fixture there. With Schar and Botman and to a lesser extent Burn we have players who are comfortable on the ball.

Looking forward to this season whether we get more players in or not.

    Less chill more action pls.

We've been chilling so much we're practically living in the fridge right now.

    Less chill more striker signing.

Each to their own, but I thought Harrison was great last season, and pulled his weight far more than their "superstars" Phillips and Raphina.

They were all pretty awful in the start of the season, as Bielsa's gameplan was clearly backfiring and he wouldnt change it.

Comparisons to ASM aren't really valid, totally different players, ASM is all step overs and runs, Harrison is strength and shots.

    lol soo did Hitler.

Sadly he’s an angry angry man that blames everyone else. He’s a shirker not a leader. Listen to the allegations against him over race.
