    No offence to Sammy, but why is he on the bench ahead of other senior players? He's supposed to be an "impact sub", but he wont come on ahead of Ben Arfa or Marveaux surely?

    I don't think we can argue with that but I'm sure people will try.
    Fact is that back four has conceded 2 goals away all season so far and Guthrie's clearly our best CM unable to speak French, while we need the height of Ba and Best up front and/or at set pieces.

    ahead of who exactly, Lovenkrands?
    I suspect he's there as an impact sub ALONGSIDE Benny and Marv.

    Should be good enough to beat Stoke and I like the look of the subs bench too.

    Marveaux and Ben Arfa, not bad for back up are they?

    Well preferably a recognised striker, we dont want to end up like Sunderland playing all midfielders. Sammy isnt a striker who can lead the line.

    I'd guess if one of Ba/Best goes off the other will stay on to fulfil that role...
    Actually if we did need an impact sub, I'd bring on Santon myself. Marv for Obertan, Benny for whichever of Best/Ba is weaker. Take anyone else off and we risk destabilising everything.
    Sammy is to my mind just in case we need a striking option (injury etc.), or if we have 15 minutes to go and are winning 4-0.

    Tiote out :( not feeling overly confident about this match for some reason. Hope Im proven wrong. Would love to see Ben arfa come on though and show Pulis how football should be played!

    We're not a one man team lads, don't worry about no Tiote. I've got faith in Guthrie anyway, he might have one of those rare blinders he sometimes pulls out of the bag.

    that's what i hate about guthrie when he bad he's **** but when he decides to play he's quality e.g man u last year when he played really well even with a broken toe.
