Even if the lad was fit every week I wouldn’t want us paying him a PL salary. We aren’t a PL club and he isn’t a proven PL player
Damn, I thought I'd avoided archery puns when nobody seemed to know that a broadhead is a type of arrow but it happened anyway.
If it's true that Ross is wanting more than we are willing to offer, and after the monumental plummet from grace after living beyond our means by pandering to players demands, then the answer is simple.... Doors that way mate.
yeh this is true but the reports that are coming out are mentioning wages/terms being the sticky point with all else agreed, terms might even be something totally different to wages, my post was obviously full of 'ifs and buts' because unless NB comes out and tells us, we will never know.
He'd be a great option, should be top of the shopping list if he's available. He did a great job at Preston in the second half of last season, so they'd likely be favourites to get him back if he's available.
Broadhead wanting PL wages LND making silly demands? Bloody hell no one knows and putting 2+2 and coming up with 17 KLD will sort it out stop panicking
just what's been said on here mate. Rumblings that's he is wanting more than we are willing to offer re out wage structure.
As I said earlier. He wants to come to SAFC, our club wants him. I've heard nothing about any fee. Nothing about his wages, let's face it though the last year of his PL contract would be outside our wage structure. Hopefully there's a workaround.
Bob said that the issue with Broadhead is that he will probably want his Everton wage, which we dont want to pay, because if we pay it then the likes of LND will expect similar. And LND is unlikely to sign until he / his agents knows what we are willing to pay new signings in the championship. thats all no indication he wants away or is actually actively bartering for more.
Broadhead and then either Archer, Parrott or Simms (in that order, for me) would represent good business.
