At Leeds I'd expect Gelhardt to really push on this season. I'd expect him to start in our strongest XI. He'll play off Bamford and I'd expect him to hit double figures this season. A real talent and a little wrecking ball up front.

Sam Greenwood finished strongly last season after swapping from a striker to midfield but with our summer signings it's hard to see him get more than a handful of games. The lad has a wicked set piece on him.

Takes me nicely to Darko Gyabi who was part of the Kalvin Phillips transfer. Hard to tell from a couple of pre season games but he looks like he could step up and do really well in central midfield if and when we get a suspension or injury.

We just poached Sonny Perkins from West Ham. Don't know much about him but he left due to lack of first team action so I'm guessing he might get a few games too.

Dane Scarlett and Alfie Devine are our two starboys, Devine’s our youngest ever scorer, both just helped England U19s win the Euros. Harvey White, Troy Parrott and Jamie Donley are also highly rated. We signed a guy called Charlie Sayers in December from Southend and he’s pushing through the ranks quickly.

We've had a few come through over the years now but at the moment it looks like Tyler Morton is the only one who may step up and get some regular games. Elliot I suppose is still very young but everyone knows about him already and he'd have played a lot by now if not for the injury.

Elliot Anderson for us. Spent half a season out on loan last year but seems to be playing in the pre-season friendlies.

Goalscoring local midfielder so good to see him get game time this year.

Munse raving about him on our forum so he will probably be an abject failure.

Elliot Anderson for sure. Hard to say how good he's likely to be but I think he's our best prospect for a number of years and my main hope is that Howe will use him correctly. We've had a few who flattered to decieve in recent times (Longstaff x 2, spring immediately to mind) but we've also had managers who were either rubbish or didn't trust youth so will not have helped.

It's difficult to say who'd make it really, half these players probably wouldn't be able to grace the youth of Wallsend Boys Club (now that's a youth system by the way @FosseFilberto ).

Our academy has had a bit of a dry spell in recent years so we've decided to buy lots of the biggest talents from the big boys where they won't get game time instead.

How's that a youth breakthrough then lol?

I reckon James Ward Prowse will be our best academy breakthrough this year.

I’m throwing Saka into the ring then.

4 years younger than Harvey Barnes too, so proper yoot

I know he doesn’t come from the Arsenal academy, but I reckon people should keep an eye on that kid Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Reckon he might do something special
