Dennis from Watford 10 goals in a **** team last season Plays RW mainly but has played across the front 3
Yes, forgot about him (and Sarr). We've almost certainly enquired. Probably same with Cornet as well.
He's all that without the ability.. Really wouldn't be keen but at the end of the day the club knows better than me.
Ok I'm going to say it again: Noa Lang. Genuinely surprised he never gets mentioned anywhere. Though Nonie Madueke would be btetter perhaps. Both good attacking prospects.
Understand we’re not even attempting to go for Broja. Fingers crossed it means we have someone else lined up
Haven't watched much and it's only a friendly, but the glimpses have highlighted - again - no surprises. CF is bad, RW is worse, CM remains questionable and Lascelles is ****.
Having an ice cream in the pool and I have to agree. Naff off Cornet, DCL, Lingard and all the other ****e. Harrison, Toney and Sarr on the other hand...
I actually think both Lingard and DCL would be fine signings but I can't see them happening. Lingard - more of a risk and huge salary so not too bothered but clearly an upgrade on what we have and no fee doesn't hurt. DCL - Had two good seasons and then was hit by injuries last year (only scored 5 in 17 games but many of those were "coming back from injury" games). He's only just 25 though and since turning 22 he's scored around 34 goals in 80 games (can't be bothered to get the exact numbers) in the league, including the games from last year. With good coaching and a solid set up I can see him being a consistent 15 goals a season striker and an upgrade on what we have. I think some of the disparaging remarks about his football are down to his fashion choices - honestly don't care if they're turning up and playing well.
I think we'll get one in of decent qaulity but it is feeling like a bunch of misses in the market as regards our forwards. It's going to happen plenty and I'd prefer we didn't sign players for the sake of it, we're in a much better position than last year (5-6 players upgraded, much better coach, much better pre-season and much better feel around the place). I also think we'll get more out of the players who have stayed due to Howe, having better players around them and the fact they can see they are playing for their places - we saw in the second half of last season how some of them are capable of playing
150 million spent and players like Murphy ritchie Longstaff and Fraser will possibly still start prem games next season. My god they've got no chance of winning anything in 5 years... 10 seems possible at push. If they want to get top half they need to sign some quality.
