If only you were old enough to know that there was no such thing as a GCSE back then and no such thing as a Lower 5th. I am not sure what “cod-philosophy” is because all the years my late grandfather spent on trawlers he never mentioned it.

If there is a class below “remedial”, then you should be in it.

    Meaning of cod philosophy
"Cod philosophy, sometimes cod-philosophy, is a term for the personal philosophy of the masses, or the philosophical musings of one who has not formally studied philosophy. The word "cod" comes from first syllable of "codswallop", and so the term carries with it a negative connotation."

What is left of the union movement dying in front of us. They stopped being advocates of their members and became totally political entities funded by those stupid enough to allow it. What is needed is someone to finish them off.

Strength in numbers though mate, there were loads of them at that meeting who came to the conclusion it will be warm the next few days.
Not yet been made clear what they intend to do about it, if Boris was there he would probably advised "enjoy it while it lasts" :bandit:

Look on the bright side[sic], fuel bills should plummet when all this free energy hits the super technology that's been installed everywhere. :emoticon-0105-wink:

PS, I reckon some of those that try to get giddy about attending COBRA's, don't really understand what they are. The name simply stems from Cabinet Office Briefings Room A.

Was reading the other night that home insulation could be really bad in hot weather, oops <laugh>

We have a red warning for the first time ever about temperatures reaching 40c, how many people leave the UK every year on holiday to visit countries that have this as a norm in summer because they "love the warm weather" <laugh>

I must be due some compensation for all the things I've had to endure that now seem to be major traumatic events. We even had the ladybirds to contend with when it got warm in the 70's, but presumably they all left because of brexit.<laugh>

They seem to want us all living in terror. I'm not sure it's working quite in the way they'd like. <laugh>

Trans inmate impregnates two other prisoners

The transgender prisoner, Demi Minor, 27, who is serving 30 years for manslaughter, has been moved to another prison for young adults.

An appeal to be strip searched by a female officer was turned down while being held in a youth correctional facility.

“Subsequently I was transferred to New Jersey State Prison, where guards continued to call me, he and him.

“I was called he and him well over 30 times, this has not happened to me in years being referred to primarily as a man.

“When I arrived at Trenton state prison several guards strip searched me and placed me in the infirmary on constant watch.”

Minor added: “I don’t think DOC realises the psychological damage that has been done from moving me out of a women’s prison to a male facility, it’s harsh and, I don’t know what it is like to live as a man, and I refuse to ever revert back to such habits or behaviour.”
