Hasn't been linked in the UK press I don't think, so maybe that's what Baz meant. He also plays mainly off the left like Sinik so wonder what the plan is there.

I mean there was literally an article about him in the HDM

    https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hull-city-interested-in-free-7145250

I didn't think he was a 10 though, seems like a left winger or forward. Don't get me wrong, we're still pretty thin but not sure.

I'm sure Acun's working on more than one mind

Baz was just very clear saying that it's someone not linked before, Nwakaeme has definitely been linked before. Regardless of his age, I'd take him, his record last season was fantastic

On a free he'd be great for a couple seasons. Interestingly his agent is also Shotas so it's one I always thought would happen

He would be a great addition. He's just not the type I expected if he is the mystery man as we really do need someone to replace Honeyman

His lack of pre season is a big issue though so he's going to be about a month away realistically

Maybe it's not the mystery one.

Another winger and number 10 would definitely mean we need to shift a few. Imagine they want rid of Wilks, Scott and Smith anyway though.

It would give us good depth, you'd have Sinik, Oscar & Allahyar, and then Nwakaeme, Tetteh and Longman (no particular order) along with a no.10.

With the 5 subs as well, everyone would get game time.

You'd just have a lot of flexibility.

I imagine Wilks, Scott and Tyler will go regardless. But we did want to keep KLP and get Twine so it's no real difference from that. It would just be Nwakaeme and Sinik instead

Nwakaeme at 33 wouldn't start every week anyway, so important to have quality depth. I do wonder if Sinik could put in a shift at wing back, seems to be strong at running with ball so would benefit from playing a bit deeper. His defensive contribution also stood out when looking at his stats.

    Players from Turkey.

It's a new piece of news from Honeyman, forgive me for discussing it.

“They did offer me a longer-term contract – the same length as Millwall – but it wasn’t how I felt I was viewed at the club,” said Honeyman. “They could’ve given me a better deal and they were refusing to."

    There you go. :)

It's amazing, if I say something that someone challenges me on where it came from that's fine, but if I do the same I'm 'being like this'. MO regularly claims to have information others don't have and did so initially when Honeyman was leaving, claiming he didn't like the fact he wouldn't be guaranteed game time.

At the time I suggested it may have been more to do with the massive contracts relative to his offer which put him on the outer, MO dismissed this. We now have an interview with Honeyman where he's saying that's exactly the reason. Perhaps it's a little frustrating when people claim to be ITK to 'win' a discussion.

It's obvious that the club is relying on the loyalty and commitment of existing players to re-sign on reasonably cheap wages, and those that don't want to accept that will leave. As Honeyman (and I said previously) said, that's their prerogative, but we can't put it on the players for leaving in that case.

If we were offering him 8k that's embarrassing.

It was probably bs, but 8k seems reasonable to me? What was our top earner on pre Acun?

It was meant to be under £10k pw. I'd have offered Honeyman £10k-12k but I'm sure Millwall would have comfortably beaten that anyway. I don't think it changes our recruitment too much though, we'd still need a no.10

It doesn't really matter what they were on pre-Acun since they were all on tiny wages. If we're now in the business of reflecting a player's quality, we should be offering the best players in the team (KLP, Honeyman, Greaves, Fleming, etc.) 10-15k I would have thought. The fact he's on around 15k at Milwall if those reports are to be believed just reinforces that in my mind. I don't think 15k for Honeyman is 'overs' or unreasonable. It's also not the same wage Tufan and Seri will be commanding.
