Staying up until all hours in casino’s and he was drinking as well probably don’t help.
John Hartson done a good tv show on his addition to gambling. Well worth a watch if you can find it.

    First-half thoughts
Plymouth are by far the best and most fluid team City have faced so far this pre-season, with good ball movement through midfield, Mickel Miller a constant outlet and Ryan Hardie causing Timm Klose problems with his strength.

That being said, barring a few quick breaks, much of what the Pilgrims have created has led to shots outside the penalty area which haven't really troubled Dan Bentley.

In possession City have been neat and tidy but also a bit static with the only real penetration coming from when Jay Dasilva is able to get higher up the field and attack his man.

The Robins' best chances have ultimately come when they've pressed Plymouth close to their goal and won it back quickly.

Towering header hitting the bar from Towler, should be 2.. came on strong at the end.. dodgy offside might have given us another one..
Good run out, final score.. 1.0 to City

    Full-time! Plymouth 0-1 Bristol City
A win for the Robins and a third clean sheet in pre-season, which can't be sniffed at.

They rode their luck a little at times, and Plymouth were impressive in the first half, giving City a real test, which is what Nigel Pearson wants fromn this schedule.

The changes after the break disrupted some of the flow but after wasting a golden opportunity from Han-Noah Massengo's pass when 1v1 with Michael Cooper, Nahki Wells made up for it a few minutes later.

    More reaction to come...

A move would be in the best interests of all parties, he obviously isn’t going to feature here, he has ability but drifts out of the game for periods at this level and NP obviously doesn’t like his attitude.

Having this chat with Supcon a month ago, I think Pearson will regret not having replaced Semenyo.

This is a J L view of the world, bereft of ideas and leadership. One who has never needed a 'can do' solution.
We have 'assets' who could be traded whether it be a sell, a sell with a loan back or both.
Clear thinking and tough decisions are required.
Do I think JL or Gould have the necessary acumen - sadly not.
