Seen him fill in there toward the end of last season for half an hour. Burnley were pushing on desperate for a goal so he spent most of his time in a fairly advanced position. Didn't have to do much defending that day but he certainly wasn't shy at tracking back.
You have to remember there are a multitude of players throughout Europe who have seldom if ever heard of Leeds united due to our twenty year exile but everyone heard of ac Milan so no big deal in my books that initially he might prefer them
not seen him, just know he spent most of his last season at Lyon as left back and apparently impressed. We know he has a bit of flair going forward and marsch appears to expect width from his full backs so just struck me as a good fit. Capable in numerous positions. that said, seems he’s most likely going to Everton
Lots of people including Phil Hay saying Kalimundo will happen next week, or it’ll be someone else as talks broken down last night/today/tomoz. Seems to have been a thing for a month now, but he was on holiday, PSG in the process of changing manager and Sporting Director, Radz and his QSI mate away and all I know is that last night talks between the lads management and PSG was happening?
Yeah, smashing results. Loving seeing the southern hemisphere sides getting humbled at home the mouthy gits.
Hmmn the all blacks. Apparently the New Zealand cricket team are reknowned for being top lads with a sense of fair play. They’re capable of being one of the best sides in the world without being aholes. In general I have absolutely no beef with the lamb lovers. But For some reason, as soon as the topic of rugby comes up, the whole of New Zealand acquires a superiority complex. Like they own the fckng sport… and they call the English arrogant. Which we are obviously, but that’s not the point . I cheer for everybody against the all blacks… even the Aussies and the South Africans… even the Welsh. Well ok maybe not the Welsh but you get the gist. So well done to the Irish, with their excellent English coach. A series win in new Zealand is very rare event for any team.
Fallon, England Rugby League Captain, GB Rugby League Captain, plus club captain, moves into Rugby Union and does the business before assistant head coach for England, takes over as head coach of Ireland. Now look at Wales who had another former rugby league captain who crossed over as defensive coach for Wales why do England and Wales need southern hemisphere coaches?
I think I'd find it difficult to accept him with open arms. Perhaps wrong, but if he came, he'd have a lot to prove to me that he's all that.
Its ok having the so-called Leicester model but Man City brought in Haaland, Phillips and more but still made a profit of £47m from trading this window so far. We are less than £20m in front so far, but still have a striker to pay for and a LB so that wouldnt be a bad result bringing in 8 new players for a negative spend of £20/£30m Remember Radz promised us a similar spend as 2 seasons ago this time, so in fact he wont have invested anywhere near due to sales
Afternoon all. I know Citeh have had Jesus and Sterling for a few years and they've more than paid back their transfer fee but I believe they cost quite a good chunk when they bought them so, at best, they're recouping they're outlay. Phillips especially is all profit for a wantaway player. Even Raphinha will return a decent amount of money for us. We just need to keep finding talent
As I said in the OP Mateo Joseph Fernandez is our one to watch this season as Leeds U21s played away to Liverpool in a friendly today and were edged out 5-4 with Fernandez and McGurk grabbing 2 each. I dont see where the young WHU kid fits. Yes he can play midfield and striker but so too can Gelhardt and Greenwood and if its for our 21s he is up against Fernandez and Max Dean? As for conceding 5 remember Hjelde is in Oz, Kenneh gone to Scotland and Cresswell down sarf Larndan, so a rebuild at the back oh and McCarron sold too so no left back

To be honest I had forgotten it was on, there were two significant AFL and NRL games yesterday and we got wins in both. Well done England though, however to put the win into context the only teams we have beaten in the last couple of years, except England, have been Japan, Argentina, Georgia and Uruguay, I think, and so to get close to winning this was totally unexpected. We will get it right in time for the World Cup next year and I'm sure our colleagues across the ditch will be competitive too.
