Classy tweet from Leeds on Raphinha and equally classy reply

"I want to thank you for all the love, trust, support and all the joys I enjoyed at Leeds United.

"Without a doubt, it was an incredible experience in my career.

"Everywhere I've been, I've always rooted for a team, which I identify with and Leeds would be no different.

"For sure, in England it's the club I'll always be following and cheering as a fan because it is the club that allowed me to live one of my biggest dreams which was to play in the Premier League.

"Undoubtedly, it is the team that will be in my heart for all my life.

"I want here to leave my special thanks to the board, medical department, technical team and to the other departments and to this wonderful crowd who always supported.

"In general, I would like to thank everyone who directly or indirectly helped me to get to where I am today as well as the players and the technical committees I worked for.

"None of this would have been possible without your welcome and affection.

"I will carry each one in my heart forever.

In fairness Doc anyone with two legs would frighten Bamford at the moment. His lack of game time last season played a big part in our crap season. Hopefully he’s turned the corner or replace

    Only 2 signings needed imo.

A Bamford type striker to help link play.

A left back to replace Davies but one that pushes Firpo out of the first XI (because he's **** Blono!).

And if I was pushed, go and get Ben Foster on a free transfer to help the young lads progress whilst giving us strength in depth in the GK department. (And I want to see his behind the scenes footage for his YouTube channel).

Joffy showed him how to head a ball as bamfords effort was dire.

I see Bamford had to sit out training again today.

We desperately need a striker, probably two. We can't rely on Bamford.

Agree. He’s a complete passenger. Even if fit we don’t know how good he’d be in a different system. Suited the Bielsa system perfectly

Kalimuendo is still seen as likely to happen with a meeting scheduled for last night between his agents and PSG. This guy however has been mentioned a few times in Italian and Spanish media.
Marsch could land his own Havertz with Joaquin Correa swoop

Yeah looks like a long road to recovery for him. Will be starting with Gelhardt and I assume this Kali. Also presume this is why we’re looking at Perkins as we aren’t expecting much from Bamford this season?

Can’t see it, doesn’t suit our buy young, sell high strategy that we’re focusing on.

So Bamford is not going to be fit for the season or never at all. Why do we not just sign an out and out goal scorer. Never mind the system or formations. A good striker has the knack of being in the right position it comes natural. We need goals and not pretend strikers who play pretty football.

If Bamford was fully fit we still need a prolific striker because he ain't one, he's a prolific misser in more ways than one.

If we were seriously in the market for CDK@35m

then we have the funds for Kalimuendo AND maybe brereton Díaz who offers a different skill set. (Although I’ve never personally been convinced by him)

or maybe spunk the difference on cornet who can ‘compete’ with firpo at lb and play across the front 3. Suspect there are a lot of takers for cornet due to his release clause and he’s playing them off on salaries/signing on fee

yeh been doing the rounds for a while this one and I drew the same conclusions. Apparently he’s another of these ‘can play as 10/false 9’ Basically another Rodrigo.

Might sound a bit big headed but CDK would have alot of impressing to do not only for the fee but the fact he would rather go somewhere else.

That doesn't sit comfortably for me. We should be nobodies 2nd choice. He'd have to be some player for me to accept him.

Has anyone ever seen Cornet play left back. Looked good last season for Burnley as a striker or winger but is he any good as a left back and does he like to play that position ?
