Watching decent Tory supporters like Dominic Grieve and Max Hastings on the telly box last night just underlines that. Rayner was right these people are scum.
I think it's more than just the electoral system. The fact people have spent days whining about tory leaders, but are unable to offer their choices for a alternative leader hints at politics in general being ****ed. It's why those that cling to one flavour are so funny.
Not much about Penny in the local paper here. Just local crime stories and articles about some non league player Portsmouth signed.
I'm not clinging to anything. The Tories, on the other hand, are clinging like dogshit, to the country's shoe.
Tbf at least Max Hastings warned everyone about what a lying, incompetent buffoon Bojo was before he became PM. The reality is if we'd never had Brexit, none of these incompetent, fascist ****s would've been anywhere near the cabinet let alone any leadership contest. Dumb folk got played and chained themselves to a bunch of crooks bcos they had the same ideology and thought these far right ****s would look out for them. Now they're rewriting history about how they're not really Tory, it was all just for Brexit...but come the next GE they'll still vote for these clowns.
Corbyn lost us a stack of votes. I knew people who had voted Labour for half a century but wouldn't turn out in '19. Quite a few of them just didn't vote. I must admit I didn't have any enthusiasm knowing it was lost before a vote was cast. Tubs convinced himself it was due to him, it was mostly down to The Corbster,
Tbh, a lot of it was down to Brexit, particularly in those Red Wall seats. Having said that, here in London, quite a bit of the anti-Semitism mud did stick. Labour should have walked Golders Green and Finchley, instead they lost loads of votes to Luciana Berger as the Lib Dem candidate
Any Labour leader will have to contend with the right wing media driven narrative against them. And the knuckle draggers too stupid to see it will all cry "loony leftie!" as they smash themselves in the face with the Tory spade.
This is true, but there is another side to the narrative; in bending over backwards to appeal to the Stupid ****s of Little Britain (@HRH Custard VC , that’s you), the Tories have alienated a lot of their own supporters. Hence plenty of true blue seats in the shires are vulnerable to the LibDems, if not Labour.
Completely and utterly corrupt to the core. @Archers Road I think the kind of people you're referring to are the likes of Lord Cormack who's slammed this as totally unethical.
