So, just double check my equation here mate. £55m in current outgoing transfer fee's +£0 in current incoming transfer fee's Plus a potential £50m on Paquetta plus a RW plus a CF That does mean we will have spent over £60m in this window whilst receiving zero all in transfer fee's yeah?
what? You mean you’ll start inventing billionaire mates and offering to fix tickets for everyone cos you are so well connected?
Nobody ever said only 60 million it was a range in an article from march Fans just didn't like the numbers and jumped on the 60 while completely ignoring the rest of the article additional spends and the range completely Twitter did the rest and the myth spread. I have it all covered screenshots the lot .... In truth so did Edwards.
On the evidence it looks that Newcastle don't want to spend that kind of Money and Arsenal are reported to be confident of signing him in an article in the Times. I never believed that Newcastle would sign him because all the reports indicate an interest with the caveat of not seeing it as a key area and the cost being to high. Obviously I'd be delighted if they did sign him, but I feel the requirement for a rw and a striker is greater and they'll potentially cost the same or less for 2 maybe 3 players which makes the side stronger than just signing Paqueta. Until I see a report Newcastle have at least made a bid he's going to Arsenal imo. All we've got so far is Paqueta visiting his mate on his birthday and reporters saying newcastles interest isn't strong.
Newcastle United are preparing a £20m bid for Leeds United midfielder Jack Harrison, but the Elland Road club will want a bigger fee for the 25-year-old Englishman. (Mail) Feck yes! £20m is prob a piss taking offer, don't pay OTT but increase offer, Harrison is a diamond.
Good character as well, almost carried Leeds sometimes last season - when the "big names" like Phillips and Raphina weren't performing, Harrison got the goals. We need more personalities like him.
He's not a gamble that's ideal at this stage.. In a years time maybe start adding the fancy names here and there.
I just think he's one of those players that can lift the whole team in the way that someone like Bruno can. Back in the day we had the likes of Shearer, Speed, Lee etc who were leaders and huge personalities in the team. As well as being a great player, Harrison clearly has a good attitude and wouldn't be a blend-in slacker like Clark, Hendrick, Matty, etc
