Going off track a little, I have joined the 21st century ( got a firestick ) recommend me a few series to look up. As I have been limited to Freeview TV up to now.

    Fire stick with what apps?

There are a few good series across Netflix, Amazon prime and even Disney +. Depends what you have and what you like.

I have all 3 and never ever watch terrestrial telly. BBC iplayer is as close to normal telly as I go and that's only for a few things.

Better call Saul is one of the ones that I'm struggling to get the newest series watched. I can binge watch from start to finish a series right through, seems to take me a bit longer to go back. Got that and Queen of the South to get around to.

I loved Breaking Bad but didn’t last long with BCS… All about opinions, I suppose…

It's a slow burn "Better Call Saul" as he isn't Saul Goodman at all to start with. He is Jimmy McGill, trying to better himself and working hard to do it. You see him become Saul and what made him be that person. Then you have Mike getting in to that world, Gus is pretty much the same.

Aye it's more of a slow burn compared to BB, depends how much patience you have for that. The quality is the same but the shows don't feel the same to watch, which is probably a good thing.

One of the things I loved about BB is watching him become "The one who knocks".

I think Jimmy McGill becoming Saul Goodman is even better written. The relationship between him and his brother and the things between them that pushed him a certain direction is brilliant.

I did love the early series' of Saul when it was all about Jimmy and Chuck. Absolutely brilliant and relatable. The show has been great throughout but their relationship was the highest point.

When he finds out why he has gotten no where at his brothers firm. Would be absolutely heartbreaking stuff, work so hard to turn things around and not good enough. And then you find out the real reason Chuck resents Jimmy, cause he was his parents favourite never mind what he did or what Chuck achieved. Brilliant absolutely phenomenal and like you say relatable and true to life!

That's the thing isn't it, I think at some point in our lives we've all felt like either a Jimmy or a Chuck, or both. I love BB but it's less relatable in comparison.

Off the top of my head,
Afterlife, Ricky Gervais. On Netflix and in my opinion absolutely brilliant.

Derek, again Ricky Gervais, channel 4 catch-up. Brilliant and hilarious. (Watch the outtakes on YouTube for both series too).

Still game. Scottish comedy. BBC iPlayer, if you've not seen this you've missed one of the funniest series ever .

The Detectorists , McKenzie Crook and Toby Jones. Comedy. BBC iPlayer. I didn't think I'd like this but was pleasantly surprised.

Only one on Netflix and others free i know but just incase you haven't seen any.

I'm watching walking dead atm on Disney.
Late to the party i know but I don't really watch much TV other than binge watch the odd series down the line.

Never watched breaking bad but heard many good reviews.

Your first three choices are all great but Still Game is one of the best comedies I have ever watched. I have watched most of them more than 10 times. I find myself laughing in anticipation of the next bit as I know what's coming!

The Terminal List - a new series on Amazon Prime is really good - highly recommend!

I love Detectorists it's in my all time top three. Love everything about it from the theme song to the setting, very funny too in a natural unforced way.

Camping is another British comedy I like, it can be very dark but that's a good thing in my book. Hunderby as well, same writer. Both available on Sky if anyone fancies some adult comedy with a dark side.

This is a fair example of the humour in Camping, makes me and the wife laugh at any rate

I'd rather have stuck my head in that bog from trainspotting than watch that ****e. Used to piss me off seeing the last few minutes of it now again when changing channel!

    It is brilliant.

I want to watch the league of gentlemen again.
