Thats my thinking too. We have all been crying for an attacking mid- so the prince meets that criteria and why change a winning team.

What happens when McGinn is fit again?!

Based on some of his performances last season (particularly at QPR), he would be first on my team sheet. Just imagine a midfield of:

    .....................Hogg........................
    Yeates..........Buaben..........Forsyth
    ....................McGinn.....................

I would keep the same team, but the clearly we have (or will have) choices. I liked Hodson on Saturday, but then I thought he did OK last season. People around me were giving Big Chris a hard time on Saturday, but I thought he did ok trying to bring Marvin into the game so that he wasn't constantly chasing long balls. The new creativity was long overdue and we should persist.

I'd certainly keep the same team. No-one in team should be untouchable (even the captain) and sends the wrong message to the fringe palyers that if they play well, they still could be dropped the next game!

I have said it before, but I'd personally like to see a slight change in formation! If we want Eustace back, we can always play a middle 3 of Eustace, Hogg and Bauben, with Bauben the more advanced role.

I'd then play a front 3... possibly Sordell, Iwelumo and Deeney, with Sordell and Deeney pushing wide and Iwelumo the focus through the middle. This is always inter-changeable with Yeates and Forsyth, and even the likes of Wichelow given the opportunity!

If the current 4-4-2 is getting there, then you kind of don't want it to change too much, but I just feel we need that little bit more flexibility at times, especially if we want to bring Eustace back into a 'working' central partnership.

I think that makes a lot of sense Kev although for 442 a midfield of hogg , eusty(defensive) , Mc Ginn and the Prince(creative) might work!

Les Taylor should be chosen, even now.

This is an intriguing combination, and it seems that after our win people are finally starting to see the depth of our squad when we can have the likes of Yeates, Forsyth, McGinn, Eustace,Bauben, Hogg, Jenkins (not mentioned on this thread yet) and Wichelow. We should stick withthe same Xi vs Brighton, but my ideal choice for midfield would be:

    RM- Yeates
    CM- Eustace
    CM- Bauben
    LM- Wichelow

Thus we have two out-and-out wingers who can look for Iwelumo with their crosses, Eustace can play the holding role and Bauben will provide the creativity which we have sorely missed!

I like that Emiatss. It gives us the chance to name Whichelow on the bench to replace Forsyth when he gets tired. Although i think Hogg is doing well and with JE loosing pace at an alarming rate i think he might be a good shout.

I think the 2 most consistent players so far have been Eustace & Hogg so we have a bit of a problem there now(a good one tho)

I would do the following for Tue (but what the hell do I know!!!)

    Loach
    Hodson Marriappa Nosworthy Dickinson
    Hogg Eustace Bauban
    Yeates Iwelumo Sordell

I would drop Forsyth for this game as I though he was poor against Peterborough, I would bring in Eustace as he would add steal to what was still a weak defensive performance on Saturday . I think the prince was really good and looked calm on the ball, I would give him the most freedom to try and open up the seagulls ....
Have been the biggest critic of Iwelumo but he did well on sat and should retain his place (liked the way he was geeing up the players and putting an arm round them)

Dyche has praised Buaben and Hodson for their good performances so would be a bit of a slap in the face if they both got dropped again..

This coming from a pro-Doyley guy as well!

Hopefully our left side can play a bit better though as Dickonson cannot afford to be caught out of position again and I'd like to see Kightly in if fit on the left wing.

The better Iwelumo becomes, the less dependency we have on Forsyth's aerial presence. Still....not bad to have both on the pitch.

All of Whichelows goals last season were shortlisted for goal of the season.

Both Hogg and Buaben played well, but often both will chase too much, leaving holes in the middle of the park. Eustace would be a more calming influence if he came in for Hogg, though I won't be disappointed if Hogg plays. Eustace is also the captain and a very experienced head. But swings and roundabouts really. In respect of Yeates, he has goals and assists but isn't superb in all-round play, often in the wrong position or making the wrong run, but can cross a ball. Deeney is probably sharper all round, but not so good at delivering crosses. Forsyth is only young, in his first season, and admitted being surprised at playing so much. He is useful, good in the air, comfortable on the ground without being outstanding. He will grow to be better, and is already quite good. Still think Kightly is too good to be left out for him if he is fit though.
