    I used to collect the cards when I was younger, the pokeman cards kinda took over from football stickers at the time

    You'd buy a new packet always hoping to get a 'shiny'

    What was so good about that Charizard shiny Holt? I had 2 of them and people would always offer me like 5 other shiny's just for one of my Charizards. I never understood why

    I even got offered money!! Well it was £1 but when you're like 12 that's a lot of money

    What a **** pokemon that was.

    I collected the cards as well, but the games were always the big thing for me. And Panini stickers were amazing too. <ok>

    they were huge in the late 90's at my school. kids used to get in trouble for stealing other kids' cards <laugh> and those circular card things you used to get in packets of crisps with cartoon characters on.
