    I don't have to justify it, you on the other hand are condemning people who served there.

    Do try and keep up <ok>

    I must be being stupid here but I was under the impression that soldiers don't know where they will be stationed/deployed until after they sign up.

    you obviously like to reach your own conclusions, whilst making up stuff

    let me ask you this

    If you are a soldier and are ordered to go back to Ireland, you have no choice despite not liking it is it fair to blame you?

    If you are a civilian and soldiers are ordered to go into Ireland, you think its wrong but decide to join the army anyway and end up there
    are you to blame or the government?

    Been there & done it. TBH, would rather fight a war than be a peacekeeper.

    Personally I wouldn't join up now if I were a youngun but I wouldn't stop my boy if he wanted to.

    To "blame" for what? You are again inferring that they are in the wrong despite denying saying any such thing a short time ago. What are soldiers to blame for exactly?

    In your own time.

    He's a "question evader" who has dug a nice hole but is too pig headed to realise it and acknowledge it. He is also a fantasy merchant who makes up things in some vain attempt to back up his own spurious arguments. So far on this forum I have heard him claim to have been a teacher, worked for the MoD, friendly with some ex soldiers and reckons he could take a SAS man in a street fight.

    Billy Liar writ large.

    One war was illegal - Iraq - and Tony Bliar (traitor, murderer and war criminal) should stand trial for it at The Hague (along with the ****** George W Bush). Iraq was a war started by a president who got elected by 1 state of the union committing massive electoral fraud and was looking to finish what his father couldn't do around a decade earlier. There was no real Al Qaeida/ Taliban presence there until we went in.

    Afghanistan was, and still is, justified. The Taliban regime was happy to take American money whilst harbouring and funding those who planned and carried out the worst terrorist atrocity ever - 9/11 (which as a side effect led to 4 more years of George W. Bush) - along with several other against the USA. Why should nations not retaliate when attacked in this fashion? Also when the combatants wear no uniforms or insignia and the children are taught the "corrupted" form of Islam who's to say what constitutes a "terrorist" or not. If children are used to lure soldiers into a trap they could be construed as such and thus not so innocent. If they get shot who's at fault, the soldiers for firing or the terrorists for using them?
