I chose 90-110 but I’m already happy with what has happened.

And I am convinced loans are the way forward now to the Jan transfer window.

I reckon Broja is the perfect fit personally.

I also think Reims are calling Ekitikes bluff. They are holding out for our fee from PSG and I don’t think PSG are going to give them it.

    The winners there are Reims.

Depends reims will want to cash in, but will be thinking Ekitike should go to Newcastle. He could end up staying at reims and they might never get what psg are offering in the future

It's whether they cash out or keep him and hope they get a bigger offer somewhere down the line.

I think psg will up the offer anyway.

All PSG need to do is put performance related bonuses or future options in.

Reims management said themselves they couldn’t believe we came in with what we did.

Are we still talking about this guy? He doesn’t want to come. Doesn’t matter what the reason is.

I wouldn't get too excited about going down to St James Park to welcome him to the club. Gone right off him in all fairness - maybe I'm blaming him for actions of his agent or club.

I don't think there's anything wrong with him holding out for the move he wanted. I think fans take things too personally when this happens.

He probably was in two minds and even indicated he'd come, but people change their minds and people put themselves first when making their biggest decisions.

He might live to regret it or he might not, but I really don't think he's done anything wrong. It just is what it is.

This entirely. Just because some club like Hoffenheim were suddenly rich doesn't mean I'd want to play for them over any of the big 4 in this country or even Arsenal or Tottenham. The kid, and he is just a kid, would be mad not to prefer playing for a club in a better position, alongside better players and living in the capital city of his own country.

That really isn't an anti-Newcastle stance. Obviously he could have tried to come and and be honest about it but a) risk looking a fool if PSG weren't interested b) risk really annoying his own club and their fans by talking about a move.

Spot on, but sadly many fans are too emotionally invested and take it like an insult rather than using some empathy

It would appear he asked for too much which is something newcastle are going to have to get used to.

To these young lads they've only ever known Newcastle as being a **** club that gets relegated and promoted, so it'll take a few years or a few extra pounds to persuade certain players to pick nufc over already established clubs.

Its the fact he said yes in Jan then changed his mind - fair enough its a big move abroad for a young kid I get that.

Club have then stayed in touch since, and he's constantly said yes come the end of the season. Then changes his mind again. That's the issue, why not just say no.

Also he agreed his personal terms it was the agents fee that was the sticking point.

    Club have been played.

Like I say he was probably interested/in two minds and then psg increased their interest.

Essentially he changed his mind because a better offer that suited him better cropped up.

That's just how it went I don't think he played anyone. Newcastle would've been very appealing it's just unfortunate psg upped their interest.

    There's litterally two options

1.ekitike decided to play newcastle for fun because he's some weird deviant
2.ekitike was keen on Newcastle and indicated he sign, but then his dream move came along.

or 3. and what seems to be the proper version of events. Ekitike agreed the deal, Reims agreed the deal, Ekitike's agent demanded an ridiculous agents fee and couldn't agree his deal.
