Can’t say ever seen him properly. Would ask why no big club has properly tried to sign him from napoli over the last 4 years though.

The Premier League player arrested on suspicion of rape he was then further arrested on suspicion of two incidents of rape that were alleged to have been committed in 2021 against a different woman.

The player’s club said in a statement: “We are aware of the allegations which are currently the subject of a police investigation.

“We have confirmed that the player denies the allegations and is on police bail pending the outcome of their enquiries. There have been no charges laid and the player can fulfil his professional commitments including permitted travel.

“We take our commitments and responsibilities seriously and have followed our safeguarding policies and procedures.

“We will keep this matter under close consideration and will review further if circumstances change.”

The club, which also cannot be named for legal reasons, is facing pressure from feminist campaigners to immediately suspend the international footballer.

We played them 4 times in CL and twice in friendlies.

    Salah destroyed him.

Think it was because of the stupid price they put on him tbh
Can’t say if he is over rated or not but I always liked what I saw when I saw it

    Don’t think that’s a good marker
Salah has destroyed many a top class defender and equally struggled against the likes of Shaw

sometimes a player just has the edge imho

Demebele (the Barca one) has signed for..... Barcelona

Can only guess but given Barca's need to reduce the wage bill and getting others to lower their wages, they weren't offering him what he was on already so he left. However nobody else was going to pay him either cause he's a massive sick note, so he's had to go back to where he already was, probably on a much lower deal.

Also they're signing Raphinha for £49m

I dunno how they sre doing it.

They couldn't register Kessie and christensen up to last week.

I can only presume none of these 4 players can be registered until the barca wage bill drops ro a certain level.

Perhaps this dembele thing is a barefaced dodge to see the wages drop at one point in time triggering the ability to burst the cap wide open after they are allowed to register players again???

    Who knows.

Just madness what going on at Barca.

currently have depay, Aubamayang, dembele, fati, Torres up top. Now adding Raphinha. Also want lewandowski.

Already signed kessie and christenson on frees but can’t register them. Now apparently trying to sign Azpilicueta with personal terms already being agreed.

Think they are rewlly banking on de Jong going, and also writing off the £17m they owe him in unpaid wages.

Appreciate they’ve sold their tv rights, new sponsorship and sound like about to sell more tv rights to boost cash flow. But seems a very short term fix to then spend it all on new players rather than getting their finances in order.

It is very ironic given what La liga president been saying about clubs doping and ruining finances of football when you have Barca in such serious problems and not 1 authority has put any kind of restrictions on them.

    It's criminal.

They owe clubs money, they owe players salary. They are making big money moves and dictating what existing players should do.

It's not manageable debt, they actually owe people money from their wage ffs. Bayern are smart to ask for a lot and all up front.

Personally I think the Spanish government will eventually raid their offices and make arrests and put the whole club in administration.

They must be paying their taxes as that's all that can have prevented action there.

They should actually have a firm 2 year transfer ban applied but they would immediately appeal so they could continue on in this glut of madness.

I can't fathom how this can continue and how players seemingly are very willing to sign up there.

17mil owed to one player in wages is massive.

Its all gambling on Barca getting back to winning things. I believe thats how they sold it to the bank that loaned them that money back in Jan(?)

A sort of 'if we can secure our short term, then we'll be back in the big time in no time, then we can deal with the ****show properly'

When all they're really doing is ignoring the problem and digging the hole deeper with the same spade that got them in the hole to begin with.

They have a ton of deferred wages and have sold off 20% their TV and merchandise rights. What a basket case of a club they’ve become

Already sold 10% of future tv revenue. Looking to sell another 25% as well as 49% of their marketing company.

The fans should be voting no to all of this and saying we secures the 16 or 17 players needed to keep in cl and flog the rest and just accept real winning everything for 20 years.

They are literally crippling their future financial power.

And all to get a 33/34 year old and a **** Brazilian who barely performed in England???

more barca rumours that silva fee has been agreed with city.

could it be a de jong swap??

surely barca can't afford to buy silva??

City looking weaker by the week right now. surely a massive splurge inbound.

I don't get City's transfer strategy this summer.
Seem to be getting rid of alot of big players, Jesus, Sterling, potentially Silva, Zinchenko and Ake

And so far the only ins are Haaland (replacing Aguero who was never replaced), Phillips (replacing Ferandinho), a Backup keeper and some kid from Argentina who may or may not be a star.

Either Haaland's wages must be huge or they're set for a big splash cause their squad size is getting trimmed. Haven't really seen them linked to many though.
