Mrs. A. and I were having breakfast at Village Delights in 'Sheels on Saturday, and a bloke came in who reminded me of a programme/series that I loved when I was a bairn . . . . he looked like 'My Favourite Martian'
I think you might mean "Survivors". That wasn't caused by rabies, it was about some virus (which sounds strangely familiar at the moment), but they were also bothered by dogs with rabies
Just remembered a series called Stranger on the shore. Not particularly memorable apart from the Acker Bilk theme tune. Wonderful,
Biggins: "Safari!" Children: "So Goody!" also- The Changes (scary) Run Around Razzmatazz (Toy Dolls did theme tune) Bagpuss Black Beauty (Did anyone ever watch it to the end?)
Personally a great time in my life as a mid teened lad, leaving childhood, red hot summers, football with your mates, heading into the last year of school, you'd be mates with all of your mates for life... or so you thought. There was something special the years 3 years either side of 99. Technology was becoming more apparent with "pay as you go" phones, everyone was becoming connected. I just remember being 15, and loving it when this ad was out.
Not until I was about 7 - my mum had this thing about us kids not mixing with the kids in our street because they were rough. Then I grew big enough to hold on to the top of my iron-frame bedroom window and swing through 180⁰ and drop onto the coal shed roof and escape down the side of the house. Mum sort of gave up then coz I would stay out for hours as I was in trouble whenever I went home. Lots of the programmes I saw a few episodes when it was wet out rather than watching a whole series. I think the first series I watched right through was UFO. I lived about 250 yards from my high school and mum made me come home for lunch so I got to see a lot of lunchtime TV,. Plus after school I had to do my homework before I could go out so I half watched TV whilst I worked.
Alias Smith & Jones please log in to view this image or Alas Smith & Jones please log in to view this image Both very good . . . . the Alias one was absolutely brilliant
Kid Curry and Hannibal Hayes??? iirc correctly. Used to be on a monday night iirc Great western. Liked the theme tune as well!
Thunderbirds, Steptoe and Son, Dave Allan at Large, Till death us do part. Just a few of the shows I loved back in the day and still enjoy them now when they come on.
