Howard Beckett demonstrating why Leftie Loonies are incapable of running the country. This is Diane Abbott school of arithmetic Grade A nonsense. (£710bn – (177 x £10m)) x 3 / 100 = £21.2469bn Of course this does ignore the fact that almost all of the wealth of the 177 billionaires is only on paper, not cash in the bank. And why do those dastardly wealthy people deserve a £10m tax threshold? Beckett does not even know how much the NHS costs. According to the King’s Fund, NHS spending for 2022/23 will be £173.8bn, so £21bn will spread quite thinly given that in January 2022 the NHS (England) employed 645,000 full time qualified clinical staff of which 356,000 were nurses. Since the NHS will almost certainly not exist by 2098, this fantasy of 15 per cent pay rises really is for the birds. Eventually enough people will stop believing the myth that the NHS is the envy of the world. It is so good that nobody copied it. It is already fifty years out of date and a couple of years of pandemic madness have pretty much finished it off. No amount of applauding on your doorstep at 8pm will alter the facts. Of course by 2098 we could have global Communism, nobody will own anything, everyone will work for the collective good and the totalitarian leaders will guarantee healthcare to all that submit to the will of the state. In the meantime, Beckett gets a six figure salary from Unite members to keep posting Leftie nonsense on Twitter.
Haha you remember when Dev came out with some outlandish number about something a few years ago? What was it?
According to Auntie, the eight runners left in the race to be PM are: Kemi Badenoch, Suella Braverman, Jeremy Hunt, Penny Mordaunt, Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss, Tom Tugendhat and Nadhim Zahawi What I see as the biggest issue is that this seems to have become almost a Presidential race when they all seem to be forgetting that whoever gets the job has to appoint a Cabinet of people capable of getting the job done; so it is not all about their ideological beliefs. I would like to see Penny Mordaunt and Liz Truss make it to the last two as they appear to be the only two with sufficient experience of ministerial office; and three of the men have no chance of winning an election.
Penny yes, Truss not so much. Will confess i know nothing about Tugendhat but he talks a good job and seems liked by many. EDIT........Know nothing of Kemi either but have read/heard even less of her thoughts. Is she worth a go?
Penny Mordaunt for me too. If not then Truss over Rishi. I think because of the internal politics going on, votes might move from Penny to Truss to try and stop Rishi.
They’re all ****s mate, every one. Morally degenerate principle-free empty suits, sponsored by the Nasty Slimy Lying Bastard Party. And none of them are “liked by many” ffs, get a ****ing grip.
As opposed to 'Sir' Hugh Grant and that absolute dolt, the bingo-dabber? Yes - they present themselves well... Oh wait.
So politicians then? Side effect of the job is that millions will hate you regardless of how good/bad you are
