This De Jong to MU story is amusing......apparently he just does not want to go and thats that. All this wages owed stuff is pure deflection.
Barca need him gone but can't afford to give him is due wages per contract but can afford to pay for rapinha. they've already unveiled two free transfer players they cannot register as their wages are far too high as it stands.
How they are allowed to push ahead and hard for new transfers for big money too, whilst they owe many players a lot of money and other clubs money too for past deals. Completely corrupt
When dealing with Barca if you are another club like Leeds you must ensure that any fee is fully paid with no instalments before releasing his registration .
there is that aspect which is hilarious I agree, I just find barca utterly bizarre on a whole other level its a degree of incredulity what they are doing. they have sold the crown jewel tv revenue into the future to pay for bad decisions today.
agreed. and if you are man utd you should pay in instalments as late as possible. leeds are on a hiding to nothing. barca will tier just not bother to pay at all or go bust and not pay. they think they can get away with this stuff and not go bust but at some point someone will win a case that stops them trading or uefa will finally stop them stiffing clubs.
The rumour going around last week was Bayern wanted any fee for Lewandowski all paid upfront because they didnt think Barca would exist in a couple of years due to the financial mess there in.
Barca transfers since the financial implosion was admitted Buys 2022/23 Franck Kessié AC Milan free transfer - Cannot register Andreas Christensen Chelsea FC free transfer - Cannot register sales 22/23 Philippe Coutinho Aston Villa £18.00m Clément Lenglet Spurs loan transfer Dani Alves released- Ousmane Dembélé released Buys 21/22 Ferran Torres Man City £49.50m Emerson Royal £12.60m Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Arsenal free transfer - delayed registration Memphis Depay Olympique Lyon free transfer - delayed registration Sergio Agüero Man City free transfer - delayed registration Eric García Man City free transfer Sale 21/22 Sergio Agüero Man City retires Emerson Royal Spurs £22.50m Junior Firpo Leeds £13.50m Antoine Griezmann Atlético Madrid Loan fee: £9.00m Jean-Clair Todibo OGC Nice £7.65m Francisco Trincão Wolves Loan fee: £5.40m Carles Aleñá Getafe £4.50m Monchu Granada CF £675Th. Miralem Pjanic Besiktas loan transfer Lionel Messi Paris SG free transfer Matheus Fernandes Palmeiras free transfer Juan Miranda RReal Betis free transfer This tells me there's a lot of scrambling about tryting to just flog here and there to get players in the door and out again. the rumours: Lewandowski from barca - they want a large fee. its never ever happening Azpi from chelsea - they cocked it all up for thier legend by activating an extra year on contract so 7mil.. not happening is it? Bernardo silva - would be silly money - city won't allow it after losing 3 already. Ousmane Dembélé - supposedly to sign a new contract but they cant afford him lol. rapinho 75mil euros or whatever. again lol theres at least 200mil in transfer fees never mind wages involved here and they have not got a penny and need to reduce the wage bill massively to make ends meet and register the two hee haws they have taken on frees thus far. This is MADNESS. More likely: dmebele is gone and thats it Umtiti will be flogged for anything they can get. De jong will be flogged to make ends meet. dest will be hawked round trying to get a bid. Depay is actively being pushed out the door Aubameyang is too expensive in wages and will be offered around. Pjanic will be touted round its a complete **** show. their team is over paid and over bloated. Gavi, pedri, fati, Araujo are THE crown jewels if we see any one of them sold then barca are going out of business otherwise.
I think a lot of the players they have signed recently are on very low wages I presume they are topped up elsewhere all seems very dodgy
Barca just keep going by mortgaging future revenues but as with all pyramid schemes one day it will collapse . Problem they have now is La Liga are quite strict , certainly in comparison to PL , with their FFP rules but they just can't seem to grasp they need to cut wages which is far more important than transfer fee spending in the long term .
What's the deal with the money barca owes us? Is there a deadline? Can we take them to court for it? Or settle the debt with gavi
yeah, we fleeced the last president so badly that we could afford to take a 20mil hit on it to sell it on. something to that effect.
