Even though we have brought in a lot of new players, what they have done, barring Fig, who looks a really good addition, is keep the backline intact. This I feel will be crucial, as it's the bedrock of any good team. This will allow us to keep in games until the midfield and attack start to gel. Maybe need another RB/WB as I am not sure Coyle is good enough in this position.
Not sure it was done from that perspective. Simply that the defence wasn't the biggest issue to address. However, they recognised that we were lacking experience and a 'hard bastard' at the back, and have seemingly addressed that. Agree, we still need a RB, and ideally a real presence in DCM.
Why does he always head for the treacle patch? I bet massive fc gave him a trial and found him guilty of being fecking useless, plus they've got better 15 year olds coming through.
