Emerson seems pretty popular in the dressing room and as a new RWB hasn't been signed yet it makes sense for him to go Korea, plus Doherty's just returned from a MCL injury too so I'd imagine we don't wanna overdo it with him in the first couple games.
I think once a new RWB comes in though we could see Emerson move on, he'll be in a similar position to what KWP was under Tripps and Aurier otherwise.

Sevilla may make a move for Reguilon, they’re selling one of their LBs to Villa so he could be a replacement.

Won the Europa League with them whilst on loan the season before he joined us so probably a club he’d happily join.

Couple of interesting things from that:

    - I'm a little surprised that Reguilon is being nudged toward the door - especially as there hasn't been a peep from Madrid about using their buy-back clause. Most fans seem to rate him and his performance levels so far and overall contribution have been levels above Sessegnon. It is intriguing how numerous managers really rate the youngster despite years of injuries, loan moves and lack of game time. Sess is obviously showing something in training that inspires so much belief in him. As for Reguilon, it'll be a shame if he moves on as I think he's a good player but my guess is Conte plans to use Perisic as first choice and have Sess learn from him. At 25 years old, Reg probably doesn't want to sit on the bench most games.

    - I'm even more surprised that we're apparently travelling with 7 (SEVEN) senior CB's. I would have thought at least one of Sanchez/Tanganga/Rodon would've been left behind, if not two or even all three of them. Bit peculiar that.

    - Lucas travelling suggests he remains part of the plans at least for the coming season, as many on here have predicted. Might be a late flourish of activity but I personally think Conte is happy with his attacking options and that our main work for the remainder of the window will be finalising RWB, exploring CB options and generally moving unwanted players out the door.

    - Talking of RWB options, it is interesting to see that Emerson has travelled but tbh makes sense as the Spence move may well collapse and it doesn't look like we have too many other irons in the fire on that front. I mean, if Adama Traore was genuinely an option as recently as January, it does indicate that we are already quite close to scraping the bottom of a very shallow barrel. Most genuinely good RWBs are already at bigger clubs than us, while others we might be interested in (e.g. Lamptey) are on long term contracts and would cost a fortune. I also think this move is a clever ruse as it shows Boro we aren't desperate and won't be bullied into overpaying for Spence; meanwhile we give the impression that Royal is part of our plans which keeps his value relatively high. We won't want to take to big a hit on a player who signed less than a year ago. So overall this move makes sense.

Couple of us have spoken about Rodon on the Pre-season thread, he’s ill and hasn’t travelled. Dan KP was correct about Lenglet’s visa not being done in time, so he stays behind too. 5 senior CBs have travelled with ***an-Walcott and maybe Sayers if pushed inside from LWB as the reserve ones.

I don't see Reguillon as being any better than Sessegnon...who is HG and 4 years younger. Reguillon looked quite the prospect in his first season but he's not improved and probably gone backwards. Perisic and Sessegnon look a well balanced pairing, so moving Reguillon on makes a lot of sense, especially as we're now in the position of having to pay for his transfer.

I think right now Reguilon is considerably better.

I say this as someone who really likes Sess as a person and really wanted/ wants him to become a success but so far I think he’s been more or less awful in well over three quarters of his Spurs career. I hate to say it but I’m very much getting early Winks vibes from him - back when it was becoming obvious he was never gonna cut it, a lot were banking on his so called potential as a means to persist with him and it’s feeling similar with Sess.

There’s not a lot I’ve disagreed with Conte on so far but I find it a risk what he’s doing in being so dismissive of Reguilon. He’s not perfect but so far he was the best WB we’ve got at the club prior to Perisic’s arrival.

If Sess doesn’t kick on this season then we’ll be heavily reliant on Perisic to stay fit and play a lot of games.

I agree Reguillon looks exciting with his swift moves up the wing but there is actually little product from him. Sessegnon has more variety in his play and provided he can stay fit looks a better prospect IMO.

Completely agree with this. I think he really was improving at the end of the season and I believe he has a much higher ceiling then Reguilon. I do like Reguilon but generally he’s high energy but low final product.
I think he could have a really good season if he can stay injury free

Reggie to me has been one of the most frustrating, how many times has he arrived in the box to either blast it over or spray a pass wide , seems like a good lad and liked in the squad but that doesn't win games , thanks for your service lad but we are hopefully moving on

Sess > Reguilon by quite some distance imo, even though Sess still needs to improve. I think it’s definitely the right move by Conte to keep Sess and move on Reguilon.

I’m not surprised he’s surplus to requirements, Madrid haven’t shown any interest in bringing him back and the club have already replaced him with Perisic. Sevilla would be a good move for the lad and for Spurs.

I'm sure Reguilon will go on to be a very good player somewhere else.
He doesn't particularly suit Conte's system though, so it's best that he leaves.

This is also true. He was signed to be part of a back four and now Spurs play completely different. That said, it’s his lack of quality in the final third that has cost him under Conte imo.

L'Equipe report that he's asked to leave Lyon if a suitable offer comes in

Dumping Ndombele off for another season-long loan counts, right...?

El Desmarque are linking him with Sevilla, who will soon have an opening at LB with Ludwig Augustinsson headed to Villa

Romano’s said Kane’s not on Bayern’s radar (wasn’t even aware there were any substantial links anyway) and that Paratici, Levy and Conte all want to try and discuss a new deal with him soon.

In what’s been a really good and promising summer so far, getting Kane to sign a new deal will top the lot.

There were a couple of murmurs this morning, but nothing substantial.
As Croydon suggests, the idea of Bayern making an acceptable bid is pretty far-fetched.
Lucas Hernandez is their most expensive player at £72m and that wouldn't get near, in my opinion.
Leroy Sane is next at £54m and then it's a bunch of players in the thirties.
Would be massively out of character for them, even with the Lewandowski situation.

Apparently we have a £30m buyback clause on KWP…
