Donavon scores a penalty but Folan wins one on one and chips keeper to score for the Rapids....by the way do you not think Crouch's goal against AC Milan was a replica of Folan's winning goal against Fulham in the premiership?
Apart from Konchesky not being the AC Milan left-back and Craig ***an not being the Spurs winger, yeah it had its similarities. Hope Folan does well, he got unlucky here and could never really cement a place in the side. Time for him to move on now though...
Not his biggest fan but i hope he does well for himself and gets a deal out there, puls he will then be off our wage bill!!!!
There appears to be some confusion here. Caleb is reported to be on a 16,000 pounds-per-week contract with Hull City which (also reported) has another year to run. This equates to about 25,000 USD per week. The highest paid player at Colorado Rapids is Conor Casey who is on a 350,000 USD per-year contract which is approx 6,750 UD per-week or just over 4,000 quid-per-week. Caleb might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but I am sure that after taking all of his clothes off he can count to twenty-one (twenty three on a hot day) so will have surely worked out that he ain't gonna get anywhere near his current wage in the US of A. There is something very odd here. There is apparently a salary cap sytem employed in the MLS but that the Rapids are allowed two players outside the cap but someone as pointed out "Why would we pay someone a million USD's to sit on the bench when we have the best strike force in the league as it is"?
It's been reported by one source that he has another year on it, everywhere else that has covered our out of contract players has said that it's up this summer. Looking for likely expiry dates, AP has been here for 18 months now and at no point in that time has Folan been likely to be given an extension to his contract. The finances didn't allow us to offer extended deals to anybody and he's not been in the team other than a brief spell under Dowie. Even Ashbee and Barmby have been told to wait until the summer. Under Duffen Ashbee was regularly in the team and was down to 12 months left before he was given an extension, so how likely is it that Folan who was on the naughty step would have been given one with 2 years left on his?
The extra year has only been mentioned by Sky and I think they've simply got it wrong. He wouldn't go to America for trials unless he knew what he might be offered, so he must know it's a fraction of what he's on now.
As I recall I read somewhere that Folan was given a 4 year deal by Brownie when we won promotion ,I may be wrong but OLM will certainly be better informed than I .
Caleb signed a 3 year deal on August 31st 2007 which means it ran out on 31st August last year. As he is still on our books then I guess he got an extension from somewhere and is here until 31st August this year.
there was a video on the MLS website. He took the chance well although the game wasn't exactly played with intensity. amused to hear in his interview that he picked up a knock in training. sounds like he has picked up where he left off.
He got a one year extension, triggered by appearances, which is why I'm fairly confident that his contract expires at the end of this season.
Given the fact we have tried to loan him out all season with no takers i think he has finally got the message and decided to try his luckelse where. He will surely know no other chairman is going to offer him 16K per week

Yes. The build up was totally different but once it got to Crouch the finish was identical to Folan's, I noticed that at the time. Because he's a vulva.
