It's probable that we won't buy a striker until we get the money for Raphinha.

But there is plenty of money via the 49ers investment arm.

Yes. If he won't sign a new contract or go to the highest bidder. Playing for the 21's means he would miss the world Cup. That way it forces his hand instead of him running his contract down until Barca get him for free or on the cheap.

    Ah, the magic money tree.

They don't just give us money for free. Radz can't ask for more money because the 49ers would want more ownership. That would give them a controlling stake.

Why would he miss the world cup? You or i do not pick the Brazil team. Leave the lad alone he has a dream to play for Barcelona. Leeds after two years are making a bundle on him. Let's see how things work out and even then i never believe the fees reported anyway.

    ****sake Wakey.

He's likely to miss the World Cup because he wouldn't be playing at a decent level and Brazil have enough quality players to replace him.

Regarding his dream move to Barca. Barca are the club with the most debt in World football. They were over €1 billion in debt. They've sold their TV rights for the next 5 years for €500 million. They are under financial constraints and can't even register free signings because they can't afford to pay them wages. They have not paid outstanding transfer fees that were due this summer (they haven't even paid Liverpool fully for Coutinho yet) and are defaulting payments left right and centre. The feeling across Europe is that with no more TV money coming in for 5 years that they may not even exist in 2 years time.

Now....the deal Barca want with Leeds for Raphinha is roughly this. They want him to sign this summer but they won't be able to register him to play because they have to get rid of players first. However, they maintain they want him now. The deal they offered us is that this summer they will give us nowt, zero, sweet FA. For that, they get a Brazilian winger going to a World Cup with potential to be worth €100 million for free as he will be on a 5 year contract.

After that they will give us 9 million a year for 5 years as payment. That makes 45 million in total. They could sell him for 100 million next summer and make a 1 year profit of 91 million. In that time frame we will have made 9 million from this deal but we still owe Rennes money for him.

Now for the cherry on top. If Barca go bust, like most financial experts suggest is a real possibility in the next two years then Barca don't have to pay us the remainder of the transfer fee. We probably get a tiny % if they somehow avoid disappearing from the football World. We'd be lucky if we got 2% which would be less than half a million.

You still want him to get his dream move? Or do you want the club you support to get some money for our best player?

Please bear in mind that Chelsea are willing to give us £60 million in one single payment THIS summer. But yeah, leave him alone, let him follow his dream...

Apparently it’s not his fault, just that he hasn’t settled in yet.

Injuries happen when you haven’t settled in.

Give him another six months and he may have settled in by then, be injury free, showing what a great player he is, and proving all us doubters wrong.

Although it may take a lot longer than that.

Can you tell him for me. You obviously know him personally as he's obviously told you first hand that it's his dream to play for Barcelona.

We can both play that game.

    No paperwork seen.

However, Leeds have acknowledged the strong Chelsea bid openly saying they were impressed with Boehlys offer and the manner in which it will be paid. They said this to the press.

As a back up, it's a confirmed bid that has been openly accepted. The ONLY bid to be accepted.
