Even after his "non" appearance for them after about November. I am hoping they will bung us a few thousand just to keep him
Nothing we didn't already know surely ? We need a right back , a left back for when Paal is out , an attacking midfielder and at least 1 striker. Down to the board to deliver if they expect us to do anything this season and give Beale a chance. If we don't get those key players we have no hope , squad is too thin in defensive and striking options. Hopefully they realise this and will get the players in sooner rather than later.
The result isn't important, but realising that our squad is nowhere near competitive enough for the league season is ! Dieng, Willock and possibly Amos would start in first choice 11 , but the back up for Paal isn't there and right back is Adomah starting.
Talking to an Ipswich fan couple days ago, they're not fussed either way. What he did say was that he needs a run of games to get his confidence going. If Beale can get him firing at this level, great - but I think we need some solid back up too....will Roberts be the man?
It’s a friendly. We scored three. Bonne got two and will, I’m sure be getting a pat on the back from MB. We’ll see if he goes or not. Hopefully Mickey has some irons in the fire for defensive support. Hearing him talk before he seems to believe in the defence being the foundation, so I’d be surprised if he isn’t focusing on filling those slots as a priority. We’ll have to see over the next couple of weeks.
Nothing more than a training kick about. Definitely won’t be reading anything in to this result or poorformance
