Yep, said yesterday that it's time the club sat down with Rapha and explained that although Leeds have done everything we could to get him a move to his dream team that Chelsea have offered £60 million+ and his dream team have offered only £45 million. £15 million is a lot of money to the club and Barca won't go higher. Its Chelsea or you sign a new contract here and commit to us. If you do neither then your job this coming season will be to get the 21's promoted. You have one week to make your mind up and get it done. If you don't we'll assume you want to play with the 21's.

I really hope the club set a precedent with Barca here. If we are going down the "Leicester" route then we need to get top dollar for our lads. The club has already conceded money on Phillips to let him play for Pep. If we let Rapha go for possibly nothing (if Barca go bust) then it's looking bleak for future transfers. Strong line needed here from Leeds. Got to let the world know that it takes big money to get our players.

Is it just me that thinks / hopes that Barca are simply using Raphinha, to scare Dembele into signing for them? If Dembele & his agent are asking for €45m signing on fees, that could be negotiated down & be much, much cheaper then signing Raph. Perhaps Bara actually know that they can't afford Raph, hence why they don't make an acceptable offer - as Leeds might accept it & really fcuk them up. I'm quite serious about this. As time goes on, everything is beginning to fit rather snugly into my theory. The other side of this tactic of course, is to hold Raphinha on the sidelines long enough to see if they get Dembele or not. They don't need both & if they're struggling to sign one of them, they most certainly can't afford both!
As for a striker, Orta is still out there gallivanting across Europe & beyond. For what? I'm guessing that he's working on a striker option. I can't see any other option that will take up so much time & travel. Senior 'keeper? Not particularly time-consuming, you would think. Defence? A junior LB perhaps? MF? Don't we have a full house now? So if it's not a striker he's working on, what else takes him abroad so often? Topping up his tan is the only other thing I can think of.
