Its nice that the smaller regional clubs like yours can have their moment in the spotlight.

However, when you can say over a full season you are better though, via finishing league position, I might take you a little more seriously chum.

Did Citys 6-1 win make them a better or bigger or more successful club than Utd?

Of course it didnt. If such freak home results can happen to the worlds biggest club, then I can live with a lesser result AWAY from home v your lot and still rest easy that we are still by far and away the most successful club in terms of League Titles between us both AND have finished above you for 3 consecutive seasons as well.

    Trot on dreamers.
SAFC still the top NE club.

"Sunderland score eight goals in thirty minutes!!" Final score Newcastle United 1 (one) Sunderland 9 (nine). Record away win in ANY division.

Sorry lads but you know they have a very selective historical outlook when it comes to the two clubs status.

You can only mention history when it suits them; otherwise it’s all forgotten in their minds.

    Shame about them eh?

9-1 will NEVER EVER be beaten and will be the record win for eternity. That it occurred a long time ago is totally irrelevant.

Well, if we're using the old 9-1 thing, and timescales are 'irrelevant', then NUFC must be the top NE club as we've won 53 derby games whilst you guys have only won 45.

Get in, NUFC are the top dogs. I'm brining the title home lads <diva>

Since we were both in the league our average finishing positions, is Sunderland 11th Newcastle 16th, and that was from the chronicle 2 years ago.

Controversially it means Newcastle United would have on average finished 16th, while Sunderland would have finished 11th. and as we finished the last 2 seasons ahead of you, i cant see that stat closing in the mean time.

but tbh I dont really give a crap, we both still havnt won sod all in the last 38 years, so its not anything to really shout about (1 result/ derby results or average league positions)
