I don't think so Jammy. Arsenal live Fri, Everton Sat, scum and w.ham games on Sun, so we should be ok.

It seems fans of other clubs think we'll be in another relegation dog fight next season. Personally I don't see that happening and think we'll finish just below half way in about 11th or 12th. Obviously the squad isn't finalised yet but as it stands today what can we realistically expect from the coming season ?
I can see why they think that tbh, the 3 newbies,us, Everton, Brentford and Soton looking like the 7 fighting out the 3 bottom places, I think we can reach around 12th-14th by keeping a fit squad and importantly what striker we get in. A good bit of fortune, who knows 10th- 12th, which would be excellent
Difficult to say just yet. Our best two players leave which is never a good idea but to be fair Phillips may as well have left the summer before as he hardly played. The real answer lies in how quickly the new lads take to the PL. If they all prove to be good signings then yeah, in and around 10th is achievable. If say 50% of them are a success then probably somewhere between 12th and 16th would be fair. Anything below that and we are bang in trouble. The other significant factor would be that us and Everton had the most minutes lost by first team players. On top of that it was our key players in Cooper, Phillips and Bamford. If we can finish midtable or above in the injury table then I'd expect a sizeable increase in points per game. Quietly optimistic if we get Camara and a striker in from now.
One month to go until the season kicks off and so it’s time to start considering where we’ll finish this season. Hopefully we can have everyones predictions posted before the 1st game against Wolves. As it stands at the moment my view is that we’ll be well clear of relegation and it’s more a matter of how high we’ll finish.
Funnily enough Jammy, I am working on that as we speak. All will be revealed next week, as there are some bugs I need to iron out in the programming Although just as a taster, after 8 games I have us in 6th position following an exciting 4-3 over league leaders Nottingham Forest, after a disappointing home defeat on the opening day of the season, with Wolves winning by 2-0. Both Pep and Klopp are fighting to keep their jobs
I mean there's alot of guesswork in this but here goes.... I reckon, roughly speaking.... Played 38. Won 11 Draw 9 Lost 18 For 52 Against 61 Pts 42 Final position. 15th Top scorers. Bamford 12. Sinisterra 10. Gelhardt 9. Harrison 8. Most Assists. Harrison 9. Sinisterra 7. Aaronson 7. Bamford 6. Player of the season. Roca. Young player of the season. Gelhardt. Roughly speaking....if I had to put my neck on the line. Disclaimer:- might change if we sign more players.
Post Bielsa, I look on my football differently now. I don't care where we finish, just as long as I enjoy the football. Well, obviously I don't want to get relegated, but would it be the end of the world if that actually happened. I don't think so, personally. In fact, I preferred L1, if I'm honest. And we won a lot too. But if I'm pressed, I think we'll finish in the 12th - 16th range, and if further pressed, 13th.
To avoid a relegation battle we need to be beating these teams; Fulham Brentford Bournemouth Southampton Forest Comfortable mid table requires us getting the better of; Palace Villa Everton To finish Top 10 we'd need to be beating teams such as; Wolves Leicester Brighton West Ham Newcastle Forget the rest as anything from those matches is just a bonus.
I think that is a really good assessment. Though it’s been a really exciting transfer window, we just won’t know what quality we have bought or otherwise until we start playing so I’ll be honest I’ve no idea where we’ll finish. Could be anywhere in the bottom half including the relegation places unfortunately.
It will be a bonus in those forgotten matches if we can avoid 3 red cards, a managerial sacking and a 33 hit to the goal difference! Easy job!
The importance of the fixture list cannot be overstated and this season we seem to have been dealt a more even hand. No doubt that will change with FA Cup ties and/or postponements but as it stands we've decent preparation and recovery times around those more challenging fixtures.
