It’s a strange one because he has recently sold his back catalogue for $200m and his publishing rights for $400m. He must be short of a bob or two
It is, still remember buying the first album which at the time was a staggering debut from someone so young , singing a full range of mainly covers then stepping up the gears from one album to the next. He really is a one off.
Me too Clocky, although I didn't buy it until 1966. I had an old Dansette record player that I got from my sister, I came home with the album, put it on and played it and as it was finishing I went to lift the needle and play it again and scratched the end of the last track, f*c*ing gutted "See that my grave is kept clean". I have his albums on vinyl up to Before the Flood, and then just about everything that he has ever done (including all 39 of his studio albums) on CD and transferred to my phone, laptop and tablet.
