Funny. When the same happens with the more popular men’s game newspaper comments sections are full of people saying they don’t pay their licence fee for that and it should be on a separate sports channel as it interrupts their normal viewing. And lots of people reading articles about the men’s team and then logging in to post a comment to say they are not interested in the overpaid male primadonnas. A lot of people who are a little unhinged about.

It’s on the front page of all football websites when let’s be honest not many people are that bothered. Have you woke up on the wrong side of the bed?

Massive 9,000 there at Southampton as football fever gripped the South Coast.

For somebody who claims to be uninterested in women's football and thinks it's a waste of space you do invest a lot of time and effort in posting about it. 20% of the posts on this thread are from you. I reckon you're a closet fan...

Sorry, didn’t realise you can’t comment on things or disagree with other people’s perspectives. Would you prefer an echo chamber where someone posts something and everyone just agrees or keeps quiet?

Northern Ireland v Norway, in England, still got the same crowd as we averaged in the Championship in the 19/20 season.

So? In the US they got the largest crowds for a World Cup included several over 100,000. Does that mean football is massive over there? For the rugby union World Cup they played 2 games with minor countries at Brighton, an area without a union club, and received over 350,000 applications for each game. Both games had capacity crowds which were both larger than any we had in the Premier League. Does that mean anything? Wonder what the crowd would have been if they charged te prices we were charging in the Championship. There is a lot larger fan base innSouthampton and even with cheap prices there wasn’t much of a turnout.

I genuinely didnt even know this tournament was on until the day it started, it can’t be being publicised that much.

People just go out of their way to be annoyed by nothing.

It has rennin all the papers and featured on BBC where they have advertised the games they are showing and discussed on SKY though they aren’t showing it.
BTW, BoJo has resigned and there is a war going on in Europe just to keep you up to speed.

It was featured on the BBC was it? Good heavens, I hope you have recovered yourself. Next you’ll be telling me they have women as newsreaders.

Just thought I would let you know as you claimed there had been publicity and you were unaware of it. Are you unaware of everything else that is widely publicised. We have new owners just in case you hadn’t heard or read about it…

Goalkeeping in the female game is not good but other outfield skills will catch up eventually and I’m finding lots of it a good watch without so much of the diving/play acting in the mens’ game.
(Shoot me down, it’s what I posted for!)

It is almost like a professional tournament of the nation's favourite sport is being held in England and the home team are favourites. Of course it is getting talked about a lot.

Men's football is often poor too. Anyone remember England's group games in last years Euros? Not the best were they?

I went to the Women's FA Cup Final this year, £20 ticket and it was significantly more exciting than the men's final.

I really don't even think it has been talked about much, in the scheme of things.

Obviously, those who want to be angry about an ever-creeping woke agenda will find the odd mention and go mental about it, but to say there's a major tournament on in our country, at a time when no men's football is on, I think it's been incredibly understated so far.

That's probably a reflection of how few people care about it, but I think that's a shame really. The sense of occasion and excitement inside Old Trafford on Wednesday night was incredible. The positivity in the crowd was similar to those first couple of games when Acun first took over at City. I think it's a bit of a shame that so many people just default to miserable and choose to moan about a nice thing happening and being enjoyed by people.

Fair enough it must have got better we only watched the first 20 minutes.
I’ll watch the next England game give it another crack.
