You should be able to ask questions from things you’ve been told by others absolutely, otherwise how do you find out the truth? If you present things people have told you as fact there’s the problem… she didn’t do that. There were rumours Saville was a nonce, maybe the problem was people took your view and did nothing about it so he was able to continue noncing, rumours were the West’s were murdering rapists, same applies, do you think that was the right course of action? Or do you think investigations should happen?
